"They lost all of my fathers personal belongings. My mom asked if she needed to take them the night before his surgery, but the nurse said she could just leave it in his room. They contacted us about the meds he had brought in his jacket, yet could not tell us where his clothes, shoes, prescription glasses, headphones, and extended phone charger were located. His favorite hat was in that bag too. All of these items, including the jacket, were in a bag. Thank goodness my mom did not leave his phone. Beware if you decide to go to this hospital. It amazes me how there is not an area or phone number I could contact for lost and found items. Very disorganized."
"I went to ER for an infection. I had a tiny (size of the head of a qtip) in my belly button which I had been admitted for a few months earlier. I also had low IgM ( immune system). Add to that, undiagnosed stage VI colon cancer with enlarged lymph nodes, large spleen. In the ER, my blood pressure was dropping so they started sepsis protocol and admitted me. I was really sick and my head was throbbing. I was told they thought I was an addict. I don't even drink and definitely don't do drugs. I'm in my 60s and I live in a very nice neighborhood and a 3400 sq ft home in Clear Lake. They put in my chart that I was on SSI. I'm far from poor, I'm disabled because of my lungs. These people are nut jobs. Just absolutely crazy. Then Baylor doctors kept sending me to clinics for low income. I guess not working means no income? None invest? Just stupid people"
"My 6 hour experience at this moment of writing the review is mixed. The staff is good and helpful, however the young man in Admittance sent us the wrong way to our first stop to Nuclear Medicine. He sent us to the Basement level instead of the top 26th floor. This building's floorplan is a maze with more than 6 color coded elevator shafts. The floor plan is old school. The building is well maintained, however, after 4 or 5 decades you can't hide the age anymore. Especially when the outside looks like a 1975 Marriot Hotel with dark brick and curtain windows. This review is not to detract from the good medical staff, rather to let you know there are shining new building examples in the surrounding medical complex that really holds this place back. The parking garage is easy to access; go to rooftop level for wide parking spaces."
"I LOVE St. Lukes!! I've had several stays, and had my Liver Transplant there March 2023!! They saved my life in this hospital!! Nurse, doctors, and all other staff are great!! Cute gift shop. McDonald's (really?? In a hospital), food brought to the room is decent, but could be better. The food in the cafeteria has good options as well."
"My mother has been dealing with a lot of health issues, leading us to visit various hospitals, but I gotta say, the nurses at St. Luke's are simply the best out of all. Every one of them are so incredibly kind and caring. Thanks a million for everything you do!"
