"I can say I am disappointed in the fact that Ortho North had me schedule an appointment thru Physical medicine Consultants of Ft Wayne. I waited almost 2 months for an appointment for an EMG/Nerve study and the DAY BEFORE my appointment they call to cancel the appointment. When I asked to reschedule, they told me that location is closing as on the day AFTER my scheduled appointment and that I would need to contact the office and book an appointment at another location. Now to start thing off I had made an appointment at Ortho North and was never at the location let alone in Ft Wayne at any medical facility. I was unable to log into the portal and called the office for the address of my visit and was given the wrong address, hench I was late for my first visit to see Dr LaSalle. Now as it was getting close to my appointment and never receiving a packet that I was told to expect, I called the doctors office for their contact info. I call PMC Ft Wayne’s office to asked about the packet and told them I never received it. The packet that was sent was sent to an incorrect address. They resent the packet and I filled out a few pages of my issue for the EMG test, WHICH WILL NOW not happen. I just think I could have been warned sooner about the cancelation and now if I was to reschedule at another location it would most likely take several weeks, which means I would need to cancel my return visit with Dr LaSalle. With all the issues with Ortho North and Physical medicine Consultants I am seeking care elsewhere. I can’t recommend Ortho North or Physical medicine Consultants after having these issues."
"I was supposed to have my first pain injection today. I was a nervous wreck with high anxiety about this procedure. Because of this, I managed to forget my ID. When I got to the front desk and the receptionist asked for my ID, I explained what I did. Instead of being warm and compassionate, and explain NICELY that I would have to reschedule, she was super rude and shoved my papers back at me aggressively. For this reason, I won't be returning. I'm a nurse and if you're going to work in the medical field, you should learn some compassion and that human error can happen."
"Unfortunately I had an epidural scheduled that I did not end up needing, and I attempted to contact them regarding it, but did not have their contact information. Fort wayne orthopedics set up the appointment, and I didn't have their contact information (or know their address, or the name of the company). Because of this, I was charged $100 for a no show, which was technically my fault, but they were unwilling to work with me after explaining my scenario. They also did not send out any courtesy reminders through text or email (which would have given me contact information), which led to further frustration on my end. I could never recommend a company with these kinds of practices that is this unwilling to work with patients."
"My fiance suffers from chronic pain, and we came here upon recommendation by one of her other doctors. She recently moved here from another state. She was very excited initially as she thought she would finally get some help. She has many ailments, both physical and mental. Her first appointment went very well, and she left feeling hopeful. Not too long after that, my fiance was in her former home state and called the front office to ask them if they needed her to get any medical records from her while she was there. Apparently, the receptionist gave her attitude and said that they didn't need anything from her. My fiance said that she was only trying to help and was hurt by them being rude. I'm not sure of the exact details, but they proceeded to give more bad attitude. It made my fiance upset because all she was trying to do was help, and she didn't feel as though she was being rude at all. We recently went in for her follow-up appointment. We waited in the lobby, then the nurse came and got us and took us to an examination room. She asked my fiance some questions. My fiance has anxiety, and since she was not expecting to be asked questions, she became overwhelmed and was not able to answer the questions well. Despite this, she was apologetic. The nurse left the room and apparently told the doctor that my fiance was being rude to her. The doctor came in and, before talking about anything related to her actual visit, asked my fiance why she had been having problems with the staff at the clinic. She cited the aforementioned phone call and the situation with the nurse that had just transpired. The doctor said the receptionist claimed that my fiance had said a very rude thing to her and then hung up the phone on them. We were also told that she had been rude with the nurse. Both myself and my fiance were very surprised to hear this because none of it was true. The rest of the appointment, she was holding back tears and couldn't focus on the actual reason for the visit: her chronic pain. It was not a very good experience for either of us. I understand that the nurse may not have known about her anxiety and tendency to become easily overwhelmed, but to jump to a conclusion like that is hurtful when my fiance was trying her best to do what was asked of her. The situation with the receptionist greatly upsets me because my fiance was trying to go out of her way to help get medical records and was met with an irritable attitude and rudeness, not to mention the fact that the receptionist was untruthful about details of the exchange, perhaps to cover her tracks. At best, it was due to a miscommunication. At worst, it was a hurtful lie. We are both incredibly disappointed, and my fiance left the appointment distraught and in tears. She came to this place to be helped and was met with unprofessionalism."
"Dr. Zolman is fantastic but this facility is gross. The procedure room is downright dirty and unkempt. The staff is extraordinarily unprofessional. Cartoonish hair, and clothes more suited to lounging on the couch, as well as one individual dressed like a street walker despite being well into her fifties…down to pleather pants and cheetah heels. Appalling behavior from medical “professionals.”"
