"women of color please don’t go here lol. they don’t listen at all, i felt very rushed, nobody told me their name when i first came, when i first was brought back the woman talked to me like she was irritated, the only nice woman is the one at the check in with the blonde & black hair"
"Feel like they're kind of unprepared, and the department probably doesn't have much money. This is my fourth pregnancy: my first one was in NYC, where my doctor did the ultrasound himself; my second one was in NC where it was a private practice that wasn't connected to the local county hospital (so they had a better budget, I guess); and my third was in KY at a military hospital, so you never got canceled appointments because there was always someone there. I don't know, maybe Indiana just doesn't have as much money as these other states do? Maybe they can only afford mediocre doctors and staff at this county for women's health??? It's a shame, my regular care doctor, Dr. Kavelman, his office is in JMH and it's like polar opposites from the Women's Center, which is in the back part of the hospital. A few times I had to get a hold of Dr. Kavelman instead because the ob/gyn's they have at the clinic don't seem to have the same bedside manners as my regular doctor and are very dismissive. This place is so cringe... but it's literally 5 minutes away and I'm lazy to travel... but if you don't live in Franklin, and you're in one of those other towns in the middle, go to St. Francis instead. That's who I ended up going to. Obviously I should have read the other horror reviews first. I won't say JMH is terrible, but I would stay away from their Women's Center."
"If you come here for prenatal care and suspect that you will have anything other than a normal pregnancy, please go somewhere else. They are not familiar with, or willing to learn about prior health conditions and will not care for you properly. I had several issues with JMH women's care practice, but it was a definite need to switch when my full term pregnancy was being discarded and I wasn’t being listened to by multiple OB’s in this clinic."
"If I could give 0 stars, or even negative stars, I would! First of all, if you’re in labor, expect to be walking all over the hospital trying to find the maternity ward and not getting any help from staff because they’re too busy socializing with each other. Had the WORST experience. I had to go up flights of stairs and call the hospital while being IN the hospital to figure out where to go. They said take the first elevator to the 2nd floor. Did that. But it was the WRONG elevator. Then I called again and they said it’s on the 3rd floor. Had to go and find a different elevator that goes up to more than 2 floors. 3rd floor was wrong and it ended up being on the 2nd floor but you had to walk into the older part of the hospital from the ER. While I was there, they treated me terribly. Gave me medication they didn’t make me aware of. Discharge papers didn’t show ANYTHING about what medication they gave me. Then the OBGYN office. Oh boy. I asked them to send my medical records elsewhere so I could continue my OB appointments somewhere closer to my home (since we had just moved) and I wanted a hospital that would treat me better. Well, they proceeded to NOT fax my records even though I gave them a fax number (they mailed them for whatever reason) and then proceeded to CANCEL my appointment WITHOUT my permission and remove me as a current patient and ABANDON me as a patient. The other OBGYN I was trying to transfer to didn’t yet receive my records so they were unable to schedule me. It took me almost TWO weeks to get Johnson Memorial to finally fax my medical records and that was after calling numerous times. So I am currently left without an OBGYN since I have yet to hear back from the other office about getting scheduled. This is ILLEGAL. You can’t abandon a patient, especially a patient that is 34 weeks pregnant. I haven’t been seen since my “preterm labor” incident at the Maternity ward. This place needs shut down due to their carelessness. I will NEVER be returning."
"Wasn't a terrible experience. Coming from the east coast and having gone through 2 pregnancies already it just didn't seem like a good fit for me. I felt treated like a number more than a person carrying life. Very rushed appointments."
