"Even just trying to view an apartment made me not want to rent through them. The property I wanted to see was listed as available to show with no actual dates so I requested information through email. Didn’t receive a reply until 3 days later asking me to schedule through their site that still isn’t showing times. I ask again and this time get scheduled over email with someone and explained it was still being cleaned which is why it wasn’t showing up to schedule, makes sense. Day before comes and I haven’t received anything confirming so I call to make sure. The woman on the phone was completely rude and didn’t listen when I said I’m trying to confirm my scheduling and went into how I did it wrong until I get her to listen and she confirms it’s good. Next day and I don’t get a code so I go to the property thinking maybe I misunderstood but no one’s there and it doesn’t seem like the right place so I call again. I’m at the wrong address which was sent to me wrong in the text. My bad, I should have gone back to the listing for the address which was confirmed and doubled down on by the once again very rude lady on the phone because it’s my fault the system didn’t send the code at all of the address is was supposed to."

"First I want to thank Zinders property for welcoming me into their beautiful property they have off Springfield ave .Since I been here it’s been nothing but love & respect, I moved from Chicago Illinois and was a bit worried about finding a comfortable luxury affordable property. They are honestly one of these best property management in the Champaign , urban district . Not only their properties are amazing but the team they have in office is amazing every time I was in needed of assistance or property work I with a lady I believe name Bethany man she took care of every problem I ever had in a timely manner. I looking to finish off another year here until I’m finished with school & and I can say if your looking for a comfortable affordable apartment Zinders is the property management for you ."

"I lived in a house managed by this company for five years and had a great experience. They hit a happy medium of responding to issues, but giving us our space. Jessica particularly was great to work with and helped us negotiate improvements to the house that otherwise would not have happened. We recently moved on and are hoping our next landlord experience is as smooth."

"Total lack of professionalism from this company, I applied for a property and was told that there was someone else who applied first who got it- great for them no issues! Then a week later I get an email saying that they're looking into my rental history, so I call them up and ask them what that means for this property, they let me know that the other person dropped out so they're processing my application, great!! Then I proceed to get ghosted by them for a whole week, call them back and they say they're running a background check and will let me know in a day. Two days later I call them and they say that the original lady never actually dropped out and they never actually were considering my application. I don't mind being rejected because someone else was faster, but the lack of communication and false information that they have was extremely disappointing and quite unprofessional"

"They DO NOT have an Emergency maintenance number, if your ceiling is leaking, if your AC goes out, or if anything else goes wrong outside of regular business hours, it is your problem until they're back in the office. They are NOT very communicative. There were times that maintenance work was being done but no one told us about it, such as the water being turned off, or a time where I walked out my door to a cloud of paint in the hallway because no one told us they would be painting. They took weeks to fix our AC in 80-90 degree weather and Jessica even told me I should be grateful they had ordered parts to fix the problem rather than letting us suffer all summer when it is their responsibility to make the place liveable. We ended up having to purchase an AC (which they did take out of the rent), however someone from maintenance was supposed to come install another AC and never did. There is no general email so there is no paper trail if you end up having issues with them. I would avoid renting with them if possible."
