"I highly recommend Owensboro health Wound Center. I have seen Ashley Emmick, APRN and she definitely knows what she’s doing! Honestly, I can’t complain on anyone there! The nurses, front desk ladies, APRNs & MDs are all great!"
"It's not a pleasant experience here but the staff tries to make it as comfortable as possible."
"Their scheduling is horrible also when you arrive on time you may not be seen till very late they over book their facility. Last week I waited 30 mins before being taken back to a room. It’s a shame they don’t have some competition that would make them care more about patients and working around their schedules. I feel like there is a lack of communication with you condition and the provider and if you question treatment then you told to go elsewhere. The pricing is insane they call this outpatient surgery my first visit was over $11,000. I have good insurance it pays 90 percent but with repeated visits needed to heal the wound and prices at this amount I am afraid it will force me into bankruptcy. I was told by one patient there he had over $75000 bill and they had him coming back over and over he had Medicare but was worried about his part of the bill which I totally understand that’s how I feel now."
"I can't agree with other reviews on this caregiver. I experienced no pain during my visit, which included debridement of a wound and samples for cultures. Never felt a thing. They helped me get into the clinic (my back was giving me fits, making it difficult to walk) and helped me get back out to my car when everything was said and done. When I explained about the home health care that had basically abandoned me over their objections to my insurance (which didn't affect the part A they're paid from), this place was fast and efficient about setting me up with a new place for home health care, all covered by Medicare A."
"This place is all business. They know wounds and how to heal them but as far as comfort or easing the patient into treatment, they don't have time for such things. Pain is not something they are trained in or best that I can tell, care about at all. So don't worry about getting healed up, they will take care of that. But clench your fists and grit your teeth cause it's going to hurt. Not very interested in working with your insurance/budget either. And like all other places of medical assistance,it's real expensive."
