"Who is the housekeeping supervisor for this hospital? It is not only visually unappealing but it is disgusting all around. Poorly maintained, filthy, and it being old doesn't help. Unbelievable it is still operating. Makes me nervous as to how people are don't catch some infection from just the unsanitary it is."

"30 years ago I gave birth to my child. There were roaches crawling all over the floor. Recently, a family member has been there 2 weeks finally makes it out of ICU and moved to a room where there is 3 other pts. There are 4 TV's in the room that they say don't work because of an electrical problem. Makes no sense as monitors need electricity; and told me hopefully she gets better and can be moved to another room. So ignorant to say. Why would you put anyone in a room that doesn't have a working TV? I'm so angry with this substandard so called hospital."

"My visit was 10 months ago and I'm still dealing with how terrible this hospital is. I went to the ER and was barely treated after an extended and long wait. I was billed at the time and paid my bill. 6 months later I received another bill stating I owed a huge amount of money ($700+ remaining) and after calling them and my insurance company it was determined that I owed this money. The second payment where I was told that I am "completely paid up at this time." Now 10 months later I'm getting called by a collection agency for an amount completely unrelated to the previous two payments that I have made for a third part company that also treated me while I was at the ER. Mt Sinai has no way of checking anything related to this third party. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL UNTIL THEY FIGURE OUT THEIR BILLING MESS. DO NOT RISK YOUR CREDIT RATING OVER THEIR INCOMPETENCE!"

"not even the type to write reviews but the worst hospital i been to. i had knee surgery and anytime i would need pain medication or assistance it would take at least 15 minutes. for a nurse to arrive i promise i’m not even over exaggerating. i even heard one of the guy nurses outside my door acknowledging the assistance light and not coming in to check. if you have a choice please don’t come here. i will say the surgeons that took care of me where the sweetest people and so well at their jobs."

"If you want to starve and die , this is the place for it. I am placed on floor 2 ( surgery unit ) waiting for a possible surgery. The obgyn plan was to KEEP ME OFF OF PAIN MEDICATION, to see if i was going to need the surgery . Here i am 48 hours later , have not eaten, done anything . Ive seen the doctor TWICE , but my roommate had surgery that seems to be the top priority. The nurses do not answer the call light , i have mention to three different nurses i am week i need to eat . Nothing is changing , im just laying in a hospital bed . Not to mention the entire place is FILTHY. Blood was on my bed when I’ve arrived, bathroom is filthy. Call light thats in the bathroom is out the wall. After all of this guess what , they still can’t tell me what the issue is ! Hour 72, no surgery, nothing to eat"
