"I stayed 6 nights in this hotel around new years for work. The rooms were not very clean and the showers in every room have mold growing in all the corners, the hotel is relatively new but has not been maintained well for a very long time. They charged my work and personal credit cards for the same stay and after a couple weeks of the manager dodging me and giving attitude, I had to resort to reporting it as fraud. There are a few other hotels in close proximity that appear to be a much better choice."
"The good: The check-in process was quick, our room was clean, the beds were comfortable as usual and even though there were no bath towels in the room at check-in someone bought some up shortly after calling. The bad: The water pressure for the shower was very weak unlike any previous Holiday Inn Express room we stayed in as well as having a missing hanging towel bar near the tub. When we went down for breakfast the next morning shortly past 9am, the majority of the hot breakfast items were empty as well as the 2 coffee pots. There were no workers in sight appearing to be aware of the situation or to address any customer concerns. My husband looked around and found several workers in the backroom kitchen area just sitting down and talking. He informed them of the empty breakfast items and about 10 minutes later the scrambled eggs were refilled and it took about 20 to 30 minutes before the other food items and the 2 coffee pots were refilled. During that time there were several customers looking to eat breakfast or get coffee but were greeted with empty pans and coffee pots. After we had breakfast we took our 3 year old daughter for a quick swim before our check-out only to discover the pool was freezing cold as if the pool was not being heated. On top of that, there were no towels available in the pool area or the next door fitness area. Summary: We have had great experiences staying at Holiday Inn Express Hotels across several states for years but this was hands down the worst experience of them all. Hopefully this is not the norm there and we just happened to catch them on a bad weekend. But if this is how they usually operate there, it is definitely a bad reflection on the IHG brand."
"I will never stay at this specific hotel ever again. While front desk was helpful in accommodating the issues that were encountered, the hotel itself couldn’t provide a clean or functional room during my stay. Three times didn’t work out so I left and took my business elsewhere. The issues were as follows: 1st room was not clean (dirty sink), changed rooms. 2nd room there was no heat in the room, changed rooms. 3rd room there was a clogged toilet with remains that I had to call the ball at that point and booked with the local Hampton Inn. Discovering there is no manager that is staffed at this hotel, I can see how no one there oversees housekeeping and maintenance. I will never stay there again. Very disgusted and unhappy customer."
"This hotel has a great location- not too close to the highway, and near restaurants. What was disappointing about our stay is that housekeeping didn't clean the bathroom. When we arrived, we found dirty towels, hair in the shower, hair in the sink, and footprints on the floor. The toilet also hadn't been cleaned. The shower had a ring of black mold or dirt around the bottom. It was probably the most disgusting bathroom experience I've had at a hotel. We only stayed for one night, so we just didn't shower. We were told that housekeeping was short staffed. But, I wish we knew in advance that our room would be dirty. We would have just asked them to cancel our reservation if they couldn't provide a clean room and stayed at the Hampton down the road instead."
"The hotel is very nice, with a really big lobby. The room was excellent and very clean. The bed was amazingly comfortable as were the pillows! The TV and remote worked. It was quiet on our floor the whole night!!!! The bathroom lighting was awesome. They have a switch for a very dim light which is great for middle of the night trips and not waking the whole room up. The only complaint was breakfast. We went down at 9:30am (they close down at 10am) and they were wiped out of most of the hot food. No eggs, no sausage gravy, no biscuits, only 3 pieces of sausage. One of the juice dispenser wasn't working but a sign was up that read out of service which made it looked like all dispensers were out when the reality (we found out after breakfast) was only one was out of service. The surfaces were a mess and needed organized and wiped down. It appeared only one person was working and they were not friendly at all... check out was easy and the rest of the staff was nice :)"
