"1st of all the location to the casino is great for the price the rooms are comfortable but dated decor. Got there late but the phone connection gave easy instructions on how to get the key after hours. The kitchen was well stocked and complete. Might be a thought to upgrade to Keurig coffee makers. An extra blanket would have been nice."

"Rooms are huge and comfortable, but very dated. If you go with this expectation, you won’t be dissatisfied. Pool and grounds were clean. Close to the Casino, a few restaurants and shopping. Close to the train station if you are going for the Polar Express. Staff is always friendly and helpful. We will be back next year to ride the Polar Express again."

"BEAUTIFUL, updated villa #32 from 9/30-10/7/23! Pics featured on the site match our villa! Hosts and housekeeping are phenomenal. The entire area is quiet and inviting vs our over built, crowded, loud and encroaching city. Boating on Patoka Lake is a must---Ashley and Morgan are AWESOME hosts!! Nila's, El Compadre, Power Plant are DELICIOUS locals. DEFINITELY will keep this vacation as a FIRST CHOICE!!!"

"Outdated and old, in need of serious remodel. Stuck in the 70s with the decor and furnishings. Staff was friendly though and sadly, compared with the two luxury resorts next door, it’s a high bar of standard. Unit was clean enough but seriously, the squeeking floors, inoperable ice maker, loose electric outlets made for a less than luxurious stay."

"Flashback to the 80's!! That's how I would describe our room. The kicker is the fully carpeted jacuzzi tub in the bedroom!! Gross... just think about how much bacteria that carpet is harboring?I think the resort could invest a little to update the rooms to a more modern style. Also, the kitchen was a lot smaller than I had anticipated. On a positive note, the unit was clean and the resort is close to popular things in French Lick. Another negative was the office staff. They were SO RUDE!! We got there after hours, so we had to pick up our key in the lock box to get into our room. That wasn't the issue. The issue was the next morning we went to the office to officially check in and get our "extra" stuff. That was the most unwelcome "welcome" that we have ever had at any other resort. That lady could've cared less about us. She ran through the binder and all the information with a flatness in her voice and she talked so fast that she might as well have been a robot. It was such a weird experience. My husband and I walked out of the office and looked at each other like, what the heck was that? In the end, I would rate this place a 2.5. The negatives are the ones that I mentioned above. The positive ones would be that it is clean and close to downtown French Lick."
