"I give this location and staff more than 5 stars, if I could. The entire organization is outstanding. I have a young adult son, who has had several test done. Savannah and the Dr. Gavino, scheduling and the entire process was first class. Sincerely after one of the MRIs they called asked him to come back for additional imaging and we now have a diagnosis. In all seriousness if you need MRI’s or scans I highly recommend this location. Again, I can’t thank you enough!"
"I am a person of size in need of an open MRI. This facility is one of the few in my area. I had to reschedule three times because of things going on in my personal life. The first two times they were very cordial and accomadating. On the third time they refused to reschedule me citing that I had done this too many times. When I pressed for a reasonable explanation it was met with a very curt "no" and that I needed to "find another facility". They recieved all the necessary information from my doctor. They knew I was an insured patient. They informed me of my financial portion that would be due at the time of my appointment. They explained that I needed to show up approximately thirty minutes ahead of time, ect. . All that was left to do was for me to come and get the scan. Unfortunately, life happened and times conflicted which resulted in rescheduling. But to be told "No" and "find another facility" is poor customer service not to mention unempathetic to people who could be in a very vulnerable place being unsure of the medical diagnosis they are about to recieve. This is indicative of the issues in the medical field today. All buisness no care. At the end of the day, who cares how many times I reschedule. My one little appointment is not making or breaking this facility. In conclusion, I will be taking their advice and finding another facility and I will also take every chance I get to inform the public of the poor service and mistreatment. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I may even call NBC channel 5 investigation team."
"I was told by the Manager that I had to pay upfront $544.70 Allowed amount from bcbs prior to my service. I decline to pay since my insurance was going to be bill after services were rendered. She explained that they only see patients once and sometimes they don’t collect patients payments and this is the reason why they try to collect as much as they can upfront. I called my insurance and I was told I didn’t have to pay out of my pocket prior to service and if I was paying out of my pocket to make sure they don’t bill my insurance. Which I declined to pay $544.70. today I received an explanation of benefits from my insurance and my claim was paid and my responsibility was only $50. I will recommend calling your insurance prior getting any services done here or go somewhere else. You can always check with your insurance if they are in network with your insurance."
"I have been here twice. Once for a lumbar MRI and another time for a cervical MRI. The first one I came a week early and they still fit me in instead of having me come back another time. Both times my techs and the front office have been very friendly and reassuring. I also now work at a chiropractors office (American Back Center) and we work with them all the time. I have never had a problem getting them to send patient test results. They always do things quickly and efficiently."
"MRI experience & results were satisfactory. However, was asked to pay almost $300 up front, despite having very good insurance coverage. When I looked through bills months later I noticed that my insurance had fully covered the cost. MRI of River North claims their billing attempted to contact me and left me messages regarding a refund. However I never received such a message. Was able to get reimbursed once I followed up on my own."
