"Watson Curtse Mansion is definitely worth a trip, stunning!"
"We went on a Friday before a big event on Saturday that would keep the place closed to the public that day. We got right in and were allowed to explore the whole place by ourselves, including some displays on this history of Erie, the offices of Frank Lloyd Wright that were moved there from San Francisco, and the Mansion on the same campus. We appreciated that we could actually go into the rooms and see things up close. I hope they have good cameras, because we felt like we almost lived there. I would recommend this place to anyone with an appreciation for Frank Lloyd Wright and for beautiful old houses."
"I grew up in southeastern PA, so I had no idea about Erie, the history, people, industry, etc. The Hagen History Center has all that! Exhibits involved a lot of reading, displays had a little bit of interactivity, and I got the impression they painted a pretty rosy picture of Erie and the hard stuff (like racism). I'm a Frank Lloyd Wright nut, and being able to walk through his actual San Francisco office was a real treat! If I went back, I'd do a guided tour. When we were exiting, a tour guide was talking about Frank Lloyd Wright, and she was really interesting and engaging. F or a $10 admission, you get access to three buildings, so it's well worth the cost."
"Very cool historical museum! The mansion is gorgeous! And the frank Lloyd wright office exhibit is a must for any Wright fan!"
"Wow! When I first moved to Erie, 11 years ago, I checked out the Watson-Curtze museum. It was beautiful. I enjoyed it. The history museum was still on State, and while it while small, it was cute for a a small city. This current visit, was INCREDIBLE!!β Thank you for doing such a great job. I learned so much about our city and I canβt wait to come back."
