"I'm not sure of Dr. August as a pediatrician but she is the only one in this office to pierce ears. Do not do it! She pierced my daughter's and the first one is diagonal almost coming out the bottom of her lobe and the second was pierced too high. My daughter was very still even though she was scared. No numbing is used and ears are done separately."

"I would not recommend Sylvia August. She is a bully. She said things in front of my child that should not have been said, one of them was that he is overweight. She did not address my concerns during our visit because she was focused on vaccinations. I wound up having to clog up the nurse triage line to get the prescription I asked for during the visit. Her actions and words were not professional. Zero bedside manner, she never spoke to my child it was always to me as if he wasn't in the room. I definitely felt attacked when she tried to make me feel like every decision I've made for my child is wrong since it isn't how she would do things. She feels very strongly about vaccinations and and doesn't agree with a delayed schedule or not vaccinating. There were lots of other issues that came about and we won't be going back to her. Unfortunately, after speaking to some other parents I've learned this is her personality. She has and continues to treat others this way."

"Dr. August was my Pediatrician from age 7, up until age 20. All of her staff has been so caring and understanding, especially Gloria who does and outstanding job! Dr. August is now my sons pediatrician. I would recommend her to anyone, she does a great job."
