"I had a very negative experience here. Dr. Lynch and his resident were both great. They answered all of my questions and were able to do my surgery quickly. I interacted with several nurses and receptionists that were rude, not helpful, and lacked empathy and kindness. The anesthesiologist was extremely rude and yelled at me about my permanent bracelet even though I had confirmed with a nurse that I could wear it during surgery as long as a signed a document. A nurse informed me that “she (the anesthesiologist) was having a bad day” and I got it taken out on me. The nurses I had after my procedure were acting as though they were eager for me to leave. I woke up in extreme pain and couldn’t find a nurse for what felt like a very long time. They pushed several medicines into my IV without letting me know that it would be painful. 3 days before my post op appointment I was texted thaty appointment time Lastly, when I arrived for my post op appointment I greeted the receptionist, Breanna with a friendly “hi”, she ignored me for several minutes, not making eye contact or even acknowledging I was there and was overall very rude. I enjoyed Dr. Lynch and did have a few good interactions with some nurses but that was few and far in between. I would not recommend this facility to anyone as almost every interaction I had was a negative one."
"I just had surgery here yesterday, December 8th, 2023. The nurses and staff were all lovely, but attempting to get after care has been ridiculous. Dr. Lynch removed my gallbladder. He was nice, but told me at discharge he didn't like to prescribe pain medication, and prefers patients to use Tylenol or Advil, but said he would call in just a few pains meds in case I needed them After surgery, I went to my pharmacy and they did not have any for me. I called the clinic and left messages last night and this morning. Someone just called me back today, the 9th. I explained my pharmacy never received the prescription, so could I have some called in? Unfortunately I was told no, that they are unable to call in narcotic pain meds, which is understandable due to the potential for abuse. Dr. Lynch and his team should have sent me home with a written prescription, but failed to do so. After being told by him that he prefers patients to treat pain with OTC medications, I cannot help feel that this oversight was done possibly on purpose. When I spoke to the on call doctor just now, he told me I had to go to the emergency room if wanted to receive and pain medication. I am not a drug seeker. I don't require a large quantity of narcotic pain meds, but I do not think it is unreasonable to ask for some for at least the 2- 3 days post-op. Going to sit an an emergency room for hours the day after surgery is not my idea of good patient after care."
"Dr Firstet is the Great surgeon. I'm am always happy with the hard work he does. The surgical team is the best."
"Dr Fisher was a good surgeon. However,a Dr or surgeon are only as good as their staff. That's the problem. My mother had some surgery done to clear an artery in her neck. She was supposed to have a follow-up appointment yesterday the 16th of June. We got there and were told that it had been rescheduled. You guessed it,no one bothered to contact my mother. This is the 3rd (third) time this has happened. The woman at the desk was more concerned with whoever she had on FaceTime to be of much help. It's really sad when you have to deal with unprofessional people and services. By the way, mother is 84. It's like they don't care."
"While the nurses were great and the outcome of my procedure was what I expected, the communication from the Clinic and from Dr. McDowell was very poor. I would not recommend either. I ended up paying more than double what I initially told because I had to pay the fees for the doctor AND for the surgery center where the procedure took place. I was not informed I would be paying 2 entities until I started receiving bills OR that I would have to pay the Surgery Center the morning I arrived for my procedure. Additionally, Dr. McDowell did not inform me how I would feel from the anesthesia, which made me feel sick for a week. In my follow-up appointment, he said how I felt was normal. This would have been good to know before I had the procedure done. I should be able to trust my medical providers to provide accurate and complete information both for what I will be expected to pay and how the procedures will affect me."
