"My husband and I built a new home in 2019. We have 2 fireplaces. I contacted fireplace world to get 2 sets of doors and to quote turning the fireplace into gas/wood burning-as it was currently only wood burning. They told me it would be $199 service fee. I said great, they sent out the 2 technicians. They did the measurements and left. I never heard anything back so after 1-2 weeks I contacted them. They informed me that the technicians had either been fired or quit and did not turn in the work order for this job, so they would have to send someone else out again. They were going to call me back to set that up. I once again never heard anything back so I contacted them after a couple of weeks. They said they would get back with me-never did. Then I receive an invoice in the mail-I called and said “hey I don’t mind paying the bill but I would like to have the service rendered-he said he understood and that they would let billing know and that they would send someone out. I never heard from them again. Now it is 2024-we have never been able to light a fire bc we still have no doors. And the chimney is leaking-I called them to see if they could look at the leak, measure for doors and quote turning it to gas. He let me know that they will not do business with us because I never paid our bill. The technicians did not ask me for a check. I wasn’t billed an invoice till months later-after this huge mess had conspired. Money is not a problem, I would have gladly paid the service fee at the time of the service call if they had asked for a check-I just assumed we either paid that fee when we would come in to pick out doors or they would invoice us through mail-I was never told otherwise. Why would we build a brand new house with 2 fireplaces and just not pay the service fee, when I need the doors to use the fireplace? We wouldn’t. They are rude and unprofessional."

"Not sure if they are under new ownership or not, but if I could give 0 stars I would. Called on Monday to have someone come out and see why my pilot light went out and will not re-light. Lady said she would call me back that day. Never received a call back. Called on Wednesday to see if I could get someone out before the winter storm hit. Different lady answers, hangs up the phone, I call back, she says her greetings, sounds disgusted and asked me to hold. I hung up the phone and called fireplace shoppe on springhill. They were extremely nice and got me an appointment right away."
