"I now see Dr. Shakil Kahn here after transferring from Grayson & associates (due to no longer accepting Medicaid) . I very much appreciate Dr. Kahn accepting Medicaid patients. He continued the medication treatment plan I’ve been on for years. I finally have found a therapist I’m able to connect with and I see her once a week. I lost my mom unexpectedly in October, then my BEST friend -unexpectedly as well- back in may (Friday 13th) and I have been learning coping strategies for the grieving process as well as working to understand /recognize my habit of limiting my abilities out of fear of the unknown. She also helps me with my family dynamics. Her name is Mandy, and she ABSOLUTELY KNOWS the depths of her profession. There have been times where I tried to describe something i was feeling /having difficulty articulating , and she came up with the perfect way of wording it. She kindly offers a sliding scale fee payment option, which I am forever grateful for such. I hope I haven’t shared too much here, although personally I don’t mind because I want others to know therapy is not out of reach financially and seeking guidance is actually a very brave thing to do."
