"Well maintained park with a large open area. However, the visitor center and restrooms have always been closed the six or seven times I have been there."
"Attended a first birthday party at Pecar Park Nature Center. Everything was clean and although it was extremely hot outside the day of the party, it was kept very comfortable inside the building. Being able to see all the animals kept inside was pretty cool. Would definitely recommend."
"Peaceful and quiet park in a beautifu area. When I take the kids, they are usually the only ones there. They play on the huge disc swing, and so do I. The new little trail is fun, too."
"Nice little park, but I've tried to fish the pond 4 or 5 different times, totaling around 10 hours, and I haven't caught a single fish there yet. The pond is practically overflowing with tadpoles and I've accidentally hooked into 3-4 tadpoles just fishing a lipless crankbait. I'm honestly not sure if any fish even live in the pond because after 10 hours you expect to catch one, or at least get a bite! There are also abundances of minnows and crawdad so it seems that the pond definitely needs more predation and a bass population."
"Nicely maintained park, with unique live exhibits in the nature center. Lots of open space for seasonal camping and other activities. Good programming for educational opportunities. Great place to bring a family with multiple age-level kids. Seems like this park continues to improve and add amenities every time we come."
