"My experience here was awesome. My surgeon Dr. Lee Schmitt was great too...the only reason I couldn't give a five star is because after my surgery was over, and I was back in my room, my husband was left in the surgical waiting room for a long time. I had been back in my room for about an hour and apparently no one had made him aware that I was back in my room. I had to ask where my husband was for someone to go and get him. So he was just left to sit there. I wasn't happy about that. Surely they knew I didn't come alone. Anyway, other than that, I was happy with my care from the doctor and nurses..."

"My mom was on the orthopedic floor in the hospital. She had a compression fracture in her back. She has had one good nurse out of the whole staff. The only one good nurse was on weekend nights. When shift change came for the new week my mom was treated like garbage. She had to fight for her regularly scheduled medicine morning and nighttime. Pain medicine was like pulling teeth. One nurse made her cry twice. Just very rude, no compassion, or understanding of what she’s going through. If you come here you will be at their mercy because they have the advantage over you."

"Hi. I did not want my mom to go to the emergency room at St Vincent's East on today because of what I've heard about it. However, we had a wonderful experience! The nurse Amanda, charge nurse Shelia and Dr Jones were awesome! My mom is dear to me and I wanted to let you know that your staff made it clear that my mom getting better was a priority to them! Thank you for taking excellent care of her!"

".My mother in law was in there for 7 days. Most of the nurses are lazy. I had to call the head nurse of the hospital to get the room properly cleaned. The nurses came in giving excuses and blaming the night shift for the uncleaned room. The nurses were standing around the station talking every time I came out of the room throughout the day. It would take hours for the nurses to bring her pain meds after we left. The dietary people were great. Some of the night shift nurses were also great. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place in the event that you need to go a hospital."

"This hospital is absolutely disgusting... Don’t waist your time, the staff is very rude and unprofessional. The rooms are dirty and disgusting. You wait hours before getting seen and have no one come to make sure things are okay. My mother came in with Chest pains and a fever, we were told to wait in the waiting room about 15 minutes, we signed in at 11:30. A nurse came and got us not to put us in a room, but to take us to yet another waiting room, which was MUCH smaller. We sat there with the same people for almost an hour and a half. They are just now taking us to the back where they put us in a very tight room not even cleaned. It’s 1:30 and she has still not seen a doctor.... staff is very loud and inconsiderate. Talking of personal business and obnoxious laughter.... Absolutely terrible...."
