"Columbus friends, please spread the word. I highly suggest you do not use Columbus Counseling Services. Every encounter I have with them is unprofessional. They do not call when they have to cancel your appointment, or when there are issues with your insurance and you're getting billed. Their head of office corrected the first issue, when they didn't call to tell me my counselor cancelled. They wanted to reschedule a month later, stating I wasn't even supposed to be scheduled as an in-take for that day (it wasn't a Wednesday). How was I to know? I didn't schedule myself. That's the office's mistake. She got me in the next week. Next, I get a statement from my insurance claiming that my counselor was not in-network. I call the office. They give me no explanation but say they will call back. No phone call. I go for my appointment today to find out that the insurance issue is on their end, that for some reason my counselor wasn't listed for my insurance as in-network but I shouldn't have issues meeting with her. Oh, but they've cancelled all of her appointments with clients who have my insurance - just in case. But they never called to tell me any of this. They just thought I had cancelled my appointment. Said it was a misunderstanding when I cancelled the doctor's appointment. No. I didn't say anything about today's appointment and neither did you, ma'am. Either way, I should be informed of these issues. To top it all off, my counselor was not very friendly. No emotion. Just cold-faced when I'm crying about hard things to talk about."
