Reviews
"Very cool place to explore! The scenery is beautiful! Tickets were cheap and they last all day so you can leave and come back if you want. The gift shop has a good selection and their prices we extremely affordable. Staff was very friendly. Would love to go back on a sunny day when the wind isn't so strong and chilly. Still enjoyed the trip though!"
"Very interesting. Even with it being so cold there was so much to experience. I especially loved reading the letters the soldiers wrote to their loved ones. If only the walls could talk! A wonderful place that makes the past come alive. The good, the bad, and even the ugly."
"Very nice, historical place to visit. However, it is not kept up very well. It's not horrible, but some general upkeep is needed. But on the whole... we loved it!"
"This fort is a very well-preserved piece of history! We enjoyed exploring at our own pace and discovering staircases and tunnels that lead to other parts of the fort. If you're traveling with kids there are plenty of ramps and good staircases to use to get around. Lots of history here and their pamphlet did a good explaining the point of the different buildings and rooms. An interesting piece of history!"
"Very good place to visit while you are on the island. Perfect for a walk in to the history. Clean surroundings and parking lot just a front of the main entrance. It is close to the public beach with another parking (paid). Definitely worth visiting and learning about the area and history."
