Fairytale Cabin on Lake Wedowee

"My girlfriend and I stayed two nights here to escape the insanity of city life and connect with nature. We got just what we were looking for! The space was clean and comfortable, with wonderful amenities to enhance our experience. Kara provided helpful directions to make our trip that much easier. It was an amazing trip that checked all the boxes for a relaxing getaway."

"This cabin and property are magical. The ways in which the history of the land is honored and reflected in the design and decor is second to none. It was obviously crafted and built with so much love and respect for what once was, but then to turn it into modern fairy chic, truly feels like a special feat. The attention to detail was phenomenal. On a weekend with some girlfriends, I was lucky enough to sleep in the loft bed, which was sooo comfortable. If I wasn't there, you could find me curled up in the porch swing watching the Guinea play. The outdoor hibachi style grill was perfect for cooking everything, in hindsight, I wished I had made a giant pancake. We were able to put our kayaks in upstream and had a magical and peaceful float down the Little Tallapoosa River and could pull out easily right at the bank of the property. And the next day we're able to put in again from the property and float through to the Lake. There was plenty of room to pack in all our own food and drink, and with a well stocked kitchen, we never had to leave. Did I mention the hot tub, next to the outdoor wood fireplace? Yeah, that too was awesome. It truly is a gem."

"I went to the Fairytale Cabin a couple of weekends ago and I can still feel remnants of the deep peace I found while staying there. My friends and I wanted a little magical cocoon to really disconnect from the world, and let me tell you what! Fairytale Cabin does just that; it's like driving up to your own personal charming oasis, away from everything that stresses you out. (There is great wifi there though!) We slept three (a full sized air mattress fit very comfortably in the kitchen area) and everyone gives thumbs up on the comfort, beauty, and quality of everything. We went on hikes, kayaked, did yoga on the entertainment deck, soaked in the hot tub, utilized the flat top grill, and sat outside as much as possible to soak up the tranquility. The magic of this place is only magnified by the beautiful craftsmanship the owners put into every surface, every nook and cranny. So many textures and colors! Everything has a story, and I love that the welcome notebook has a brief and fascinating history of the property within it. A perfect distance from Atlanta - you know we'll be back! Absolutely recommend!"

"Had the most relaxing weekend with a couple of friends at the Fairytale Cabin! Coming from the bustle of Atlanta, it was so peaceful to be on the secluded property surrounded by nature. The cabin is a delight, with an amazing attention to detail and lots of character. I slept on the futon sofa and it was very comfortable with great bedding. The kitchen was well stocked with all necessary utensils, and cooking on the outdoor flat top grill "hibachi style" was fast and fun. Looking forward to trying the outdoor pizza oven next time. We didn't venture out to the local restaurants as we brought some prepared foods and also cooked there. Soaking in the hot tub in the beautiful setting was a highlight, as was a quick hike down the road to Wolf Creek, and visiting the river on the property. My friends had a great time kayaking down the river, while I enjoyed some time alone in nature - it was heaven! Highly recommend!!"
