"My experience at GH left me with a sour taste and has compelled me to write a review as a PSA. Overall GH had decent amenities, a gym and a pool. Maintenance was timely in requests. However my complaints far overshadowed the good. First, there were numerous waterleaks throughout the apartment which came from above, this led to some molds on the ceiling and led to me being sick for a couple of days. Additionally, there were also countless amounts of roaches which from what I've seen, I am not the only one to have these issues. Sometimes, maintenance would also come in announced and you'd only realized that they had been in the apartment because of a hand written note which was barely legible describing what they did inside while you were at work. Management dealings seemed to be almost fraudulent regarding our deposit money and even charged us an extra large sum at the end of our contract. Some part of the charge, I agree were justified (not saying all their fault) but they certainly added charges which were completely unnecessary just to renovate and make the apartment new. I would simply just recommend finding another complex, save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere."
"If you enjoy having unleashed dogs pee around your apartment, flies buzzing around your door, and a dreadful move-out process, then by all means, go ahead and rent an apartment there. They do have an efficient maintenance team and convenient surroundings, but I am just so frustrated about the move-out charges. I received ZERO notifications regarding move-out charges via phone, email, or the resident portal. Despite regularly checking my portal, I was not informed of the charges, and I had to personally contact the management (within the one-month period). Because of their mistake, they kindly provided an additional month for me to pay. OK. I went to check the portal on the same day and the day after, still nothing there. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT! The account was sent to a debt collector before I was even provided with details on move-out charges and before the original one-month deadline. And staff kindly said "they cannot do anything at this point." Now I HAVE TO contact the debt collector now and then when I just really want to move on. It's terrible to handle the consequences of their mismanagement when I've done nothing wrong."
"We moved in Grand Highlands two months ago and I have to say this is one of my favorite places to live. Shanille showed me the floor plan we were most interested in and answered all my questions. The location of Grand Highlands is unbeatable. We are close to everything. I love it is gated and my boyfriend loves the quiet neighborhood. We have met a lot of neighbors walking my dog and the fire pit has been a favorite spot to meet neighbors. I have yet to have a maintenance issue but we see the maintenance guys on property and they are always very nice. There are 1-2 resident events a month that are a lot of fun and I can tell a lot of work and thought goes into them. If you want a place that feels like home, is well maintained and close to everything please check Grand Highlands out."
"I have lived here for a year and will we extending our lease for the next year. From the get-go, the office team has been helpful with us, accommodating us in a multitude of ways. They do the little things that make the world of a difference. A small example: there is a mini fridge in the fitness center and every few days it is restocked with water to be of use to those going to exercise. The pools are maintained every few days. My wife and I have loved the GH's prime location. The maintenance team here is second to none. They are so quick to respond and will always work to make whatever changes they can to enhance our experience. It truly has been a pleasure living here. We are thankful for Daniel Corporation, all the members of the office team, and the maintenance. Thank you all. Anyone would be lucky to live here."
"I lived here for a couple of years. The first year was alright. I liked the area, the gym, the pools. There was some issues, however. Electrical problems, issues with my refrigerator (it would break down occasionally and they never did replace it, just did temporary repairs), the water would be shut off without notice, people wouldn’t pick up after their dogs, and the smell of cigarette smoke from the neighbors was nauseating (it was so bad that my entire bedroom would reek of smoke). These are things I could l tolerate though. Oh and the gym was broken into twice. So yeah.. the “gated community” thing is a bit of BS. The second year, however? Horrible. My downstairs neighbor was constantly having issues, which meant the maintenance men would come in and out of my apartment regularly. I have two cats, so there was a constant fear of one getting out. I was never given notice before they’d arrive. Not a call, text, email. Nothing. The last straw was when a maintenance man arrived at 10pm on a weekday and instructed us to empty out our storage room. It was completely full. We were already in bed when this man arrived. After that? We decided it was time to go. There’s a serious issue with this complex and giving notice. If you value your privacy? Keep looking."
