"100% not worth to pay almost 2k a month. This place is terrible. Yes it's a new building but that's about it. You are paying that much of money just because the building is new. Staffs are horrible, maintenance is horrible, place is all made up with scrap. As soon as you move in, you will know what I mean. Please do read bad reviews before you move in because all of those bad reviews are true. Not a hater, just trying to help you guys to find better place while spending less money."
"Lacking in all manners of speaking. Company tries to host events but there is nobody there because rent here does not make sense for what it provides. Internet is lacking extremely along with the "electronic package deal" where you pay ~90$ for an Internet brand that nobody has ever heard of, basic Google home products and service, and etc. The Internet, which I need to clarify, (and what the hell is WhiteSky) has been an issue for the longest time and there has been no adjustments to it. Expect lacking internet throughout the day where it does not work consecutively in bursts and requires a reconnect every time. Famous hours are from 5pm - 9pm where you literally have to turn your TV on and off to reconnect. The apartment complex loves to replace their employees that work there at the clubhouse thinking that they are the issue but we all know it isn't. Embarrassing complex along with its embarrassing events where nobody attends. I mean really, what the hell did they put over these damn plants, twine??? It looks hideous and laughable at best. You would think they would understand when rent here is not worth the price when everybody is moving out. Do not move here whatsoever."
"We've only been here since February '23, but so far it has been a pleasant experience. All the staff I've met - office, maintenance - as well as the contracted waste management have been very friendly and helpful, and have shown a genuine concern for any issues we've expressed. I do feel that it is a very expensive community for what it is, but we've been happy with our experience and take that as a blessing after having had less than ideal rental situations previously. There are the standard barking dogs, people who don't clean up after their pets, noisy cars, and the fact that it's a new development also means there may be issues with delivery and pickup services like Uber, Uber Eats, Lyft, and Door Dash. We are in an area that regularly has electrical outages, and local construction means water shut-offs and road closures on occasion. However, I feel that there is always a trade off with rentals, and this community offers privacy, convenience, and amenities that you can't find elsewhere."
"I was excited to make The Cottages at Old Monrovia my home for a while. The location is convenient, and I love the neighborhood. It is quiet and well-lit most of the time. However, since I moved in at the end of January, I have had several issues with my cottage. Some problems, such as resurfacing my tub, water leakage from my shower upstairs, my kitchen sink falling in, electrical issues causing my breaker box to malfunction, and my door lock sporadically not working, have been frustrating when trying to work from home. I have received a $300 concession and a gift from the manager since all this has occurred. The cost of rent here is too high to deal with all of the concerns I've had since moving here. However, they want their rent money within the first three days of the month, or a lofty late fee is attached. The turnover rate here is ridiculous, too. I wish I could stay here for a while, but it seems as if that's not going to be possible."
"LOVE MY COTTAGE!!!! From a Huntsville Native, this is the place to be. Beautiful units, beautiful pool and property. Literally the nicest in Huntsville and a great location. I like to think I am not a needy person, but the management is on top of it with any requests I have. I don't understand why someone would leave a negative review, you can't have everything perfect at all times with a new construction property. I am very happy here and it seems that most everyone else is too. #COTTAGETRIBE"
