Veterans Affairs Clinics Chantilly Rd Montgomery, AL

"Have been being treated for over a month now for urinary infection,starting at Amercan family care (to avoid VA),then to VA emergency room,then attempts to get help at VA Chantilly.I have taken all meds given, not ge tting better,Va emergency room on Perry hill road says only way to get referral to a urologist is to see primay care doctor at Chantilly/I have to go there as walk in,on tuesday Dec 26 2023 wait, had to give urine sample as asked,returned to waiting area and about 4:20 was asked what am i waiting for,then was told they called my name 2 times and i was not there/not true i was waiting in side never went even to bathroom//Then was told doctor has ,will have to come back tomorrow and was given some non prescription salve for rash and burning/Went back 2 days later to give salve time to work,as a walk in again,only waited about 45 minutes and then out comes the rudest doctor i have ever encountered, begins to tell me i can come out here every day and its not going to make things better, im not giving meds times to work,well i have taken all the last meds (6 days in ) and not getting better..Even the meds say return if condition worsens and it has/I have told each doctor the urine infection is not the problem ,its the rash and rawness left behind and genital swelling..I only came back because i was told to when not seen 2 days earlier,,and this is only way to get a referral to a urologist/This doctor tells me to go buy jogging pants to help irritating rash,ok no problem,but it was way she asked me, she asked do you know what togging pants are,I will be filing a complaint to local director , director of va alabama, and national director, do i expect an answer,not really."

"I have always been treated well at this VA campus. My primary care doctor is located here. When I’ve had an appointment I’ve never had to wait more than 10-20 minutes. When I’ve had to do a walk in appointment Ive never waited more than 30-40 minutes. I’m thankful!"

"Eye examination completed August 2nd. Technician stated all testing completed and that a doctor would review everything and call me within 2 to 3 days. It is August 14th and still have not received a call regarding the examination completed on August 2nd. Called the eye clinic on August 11th and the 14th numerous times to no avail as no one answers the telephone. I don’t normally use VA services because service is terrible but keep thinking things may have changed and it has gotten better. Just seems to get worse as time passes. I also wonder how is it the eye clinic hours are from 9 to 3, a six hour work day."

"I visited this facility for the first time to get a Covid vaccine and my experience was very good. The staff was polite and efficient. The facility was clean, bright, and beautiful. So much different than the old, dark, and dreary facilities that I have been to in the past. I really did feel appreciated."
