Founded by Dr. Grady Segrest in 1949, DMC has grown to include a team of expert physicians specializing in a wide range of medical fields. Over the years, Dr. Segrest was joined by Dr. John Moss, Dr. Henry Gewin, and Dr. Bill Atkinson, expanding the clinic's services and expertise.

In 1968, Dr. Martin Lester joined the clinic, and in 1991, DMC relocated to the Mobile Infirmary campus, solidifying its partnership with the hospital. Dr. Lester, now the senior partner, continues to play a crucial role in the clinic's collaboration with Mobile Infirmary.
