"My son talked me into buying a 2008 mini cooper from Jeffrey’s auto had it less than 3 weeks and stranded us. My son called you guys and although it took a bit to get it in I am honestly so incredibly grateful. I got the extended warranty and the warranty people approved to have a new engine put in it for just the cost of the deductible but these guys replaced so much stuff in the mini my son had 3 pages of stuff wrong with it. They took the time to fix everything and even spent extra time they really didn’t have to fix so many other things. "I needed to find out what was going on with my transmission and was told it was making a whirring sound. I was quoted a rebuilt transmission for $3800 with no option to attempt to identify the problem and charged $215 for the evaluation. A week prior, my local auto care folks (Brown County Tire in Nashville, Indiana) did the exact same diagnostic examination at no cost. I was looking for a reputable business to address the issue as efficiently as possible and was advised by several people that Eldon’s was highly regarded. It felt to me as though no attempt to find an efficient solution was made, and the decision was to be the worst case scenario. Disappointed, disillusioned, $215 for nothing I had already gotten for free from whom most folks refer to as shade tree mechanics but who ultimately know just as much, and maybe more, than more formally educated mechanics, I will not recommend Eldon’s to the common man seeking the most efficient and economical solution to automotive issues. This all being said, the office staff was very polite and professional, and that means a great deal, despite my disappointment. Thank you for that. Blessings to Eldon’s staff.
