Fairfield Inn by Marriott Huntsville

"Cleanliness is a major problem. Found cockroach in the hotel room after returning from breakfast. Had seen a dead one in the hallway the previous day Spoke to the front desk, and they offered to clean the room. Returned at the end of the day to find room wasn't cleaned. Spoke to the front desk, and they later returned to my room, without knocking, with a can of Raid and offered to spray. They then said they would provide points to my account, which never occurred Additionally, ants are a problem throughout the hotel, especially on ground floor rooms and fitness center Stay at another hotel in town. There are nicer, cleaner hotels that are newer and better served"

"I’ve stayed here a couple of times and every time I come back it gets nastier and nastier. There is not cleaning agents in the gym and when I asked for something they handed me individual purell hand wipes…. I again stayed there last week and still nothing to clean the gym equipment. Do not drink out of the coffee makers in the rooms (see attached photo) lots of mildew buildup. Elevators are also extremely dirty. They also have a room that looks as if it’s been broken into with a massive hole in it to where you can see in. It’s been that way for months."

"My husband and I booked this hotel based on the reviews and the location of where our son lives. It did not disappoint us and actually exceeded our expectations because of the service here. We checked in late on Friday night. The young lady at the desk was very polite. Our room keys did not work and she apologized several times for the inconvenience. The next morning we got to experience the friendliest accommodating staff. The complimentary breakfast of hot scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, fresh coffee, and fruit was served by a friendly woman. A gentleman was already mopping floors and cleaning the entryway and common area. The cleaning crew were respectful of us not wanting our room disturbed. All the staff were willing to chat if I wanted to talk or let us go about our business. We were always greeted with good morning or afternoon. When we needed extra towels we were provided with them very quickly. We had a great experience at this location. If we come back to Huntsville we will be staying here again."

"Do not go to this hotel. The service was terrible. When I requested service I had to wait two days for that to happen. Plus I had to beg and the front desk had to arrange something for it to be done. Also service is not automatic, you have to request. Lastly, the front desk couldn’t help me even with bathroom tissue when they ran out. It was really bad. I don’t know why they still exist."
