"I've never slept in a desk chair while spending a night in a new hotel room but unfortunately... I did just that! The location was what I needed, I was in town for a Doctors appointment at UAB so it was just close enough. The hotel was also recently remodeled so it was nice and cute. However, someone in management got a deal on the mattresses for the rooms! They were horrific. I was in immediate pain and I was not the only one feeling the pain. My mother who took the trip with me had the same issues. Needless to say we were both happy to check out and head home. Front desk was nice but do not purchase beverages from the shop, it's card only and they tax you... complete rip off."

"Right up top I’d like to give a special shout out to Amber & Monina. Amber assisted me with arranging accommodations for my son and his friends, three teenage boy athletes. She took great care and I was so appreciative, so we’re the boys. They loved their room! Monina prepared the morning beakfast service, she was lovely, had a cheerful “good morning!” both days I was there. The property is clean and well appointed, well lit and fully upgraded. It also smells fabulous! The service was wonderful. Front desk team, breakfast crew and housekeeping were ALL gracious and friendly. Thank you!"

"I am a Lifetime Diamond member and have stayed at 1,000’s of Hilton Properties over the last two+ decades. This hotel is the only one that didn’t work with me to resolve a problem. I had a 3 city trip booked where this hotel was the middle stay of the 3. When booking the reservations for this one, I accidentally booked it for the wrong week, a week earlier than my actual trip (other two were correct). When I noticed that the hotel charged me for this stay, I immediately called them to have this corrected and rebook my upcoming stay for the correct day. When the local manager called me back, she was quite rude and curt with me from the beginning. She didn’t even hesitate to tell me that she was not refunding this charge and asked me if I wanted to book a new room for the correct day. This effectively charges me twice. I was very disappointed with her customer service and lack of motivation to solve a long time customers problem correctly. In fact when l was astonished that she wasn’t going to work with me on this, I kindly told her that I would look at other options to stay that night and then she abruptly said “fine” and hung up on me. Next l, called the Hilton Diamond Desk to try and have this resolved and after a few days of investigation of that case and talking with the local hotel, the desk came back and said that the hotel would still not resolve the situation and there was nothing that they can do further. Over the years, things have come up, sickness, business travel changes, even errors, but always every Hilton property addressed and resolved the issue to my satisfaction. It is one of the reason why my commitment to Hilton has been strong and unwavering. This property, especially the general manager, doesn’t embody the Hilton customer experience which is what makes Hilton a great company. I really hope the owner of this property reads this review and takes a long hard look at their General Manager as you will lose business with her lack of customer service skills and problem solving. I don’t post reviews often, so take this one seriously. I would be happy to talk with the owner further regarding this negative experience if needed. I think there is value with giving an honest review of the property there and the manager put in place to give a great customer experience to all guest from newest first time guests all the way to guests like myself who is a Lifetime Diamond member. Maybe one day soon, this property will do the right thing and refund this charge. If that happens I will certainly let the world know they made things right. Weeks later: Well in the end, this property didn't make it right. They really don't deserve to be a part of the Hilton family. I would keep driving another 20 miles or so to the B'ham area and stay at any number of Hilton properties that prioritize customer service and care."
