"Extended Stay America has been my home for about 4 years now. I've seen a lot of ups and downs with this establishment. My biggest issue was the pest problem. When I first got here there was no issue with the bugs and after about a year I noticed some. The previous manager handled it accordingly and the problem subsided. Well then he left and the hotel didn't have a set manager for a while and the bugs got waaaay out of hand. Like I couldn't even put a plug in smell good without the bugs flocking to the heat. But, fortunately, now there is a permanent manager and miss Melissa has done and is still actively doing the best she can with what she came into. I haven't noticed a bug in at least 2 weeks and that is a huge accomplishment for a 4 story building. Keep doing what your doing miss Melissa! It's working."

"Very unprofessional staff Cynthia was amazing she gave great customer service. Rooms are very nasty must bring mop broom dustpan cleaning supplies tissue and washing power to have new bedding it costs $2.00 as well as new towels. Was told it was under new management and things were getting better on the other hand things didn't stayed a month there and the place need major revamping management makes all the excuses they can instead of solutions to any issue your having no accountability for the way things are ranned."

"The service was great. The staff was friendly and professional during my encounter. That was the best of it. I was traveling on business and needed a room for 5 days. Just found out all hotels raise their rates during Alabama Home games. The room was not in good shape and built for long term. The mattress was thin with only a metal platform below. Not comfortable at all. The kitchenette was dated with the refrigerator resembling a garage refrigerator with rust on outside. I moved the nightstand to plug in charger and noticed a roach. Well that told me no to that room. Went down to tell the mgr she apologized and said they sprayed yesterday but while talking to her a roach was on the wall behind her as we spoke. I then told her I could not stay and asked for refund. The location was good if your a tide fan but that’s about it. My suggestion is try someplace else until they get their act together. The roach situation has been going on for a while reading past reviews, I should have looked first which I normally do but rooms were selling out fast."
