"This review is for the service center at this dealership. I did not purchase my vehicle from this dealership so, to be fair, I cannot review that service.... On January 15th my 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid was towed from my home to the dealership because it wouldn't go above 35mph. I have just over 16K miles on it and have had it since January 2022. The vehicle gave me the code which I was able to Google myself and see that it was a throttle actuator issue. When I called the dealership they were upfront with me that it would take a few days before they could even look at it. They called a few days later and told me it was the throttle actuator (which I already knew), and the part was on backorder and would be in the country in about 5 days and then a few days to get to them. In the meantime, I have been driving a family members Chevy truck so I wasn't too concerned about a rental car at that time, although I am used to $35 fill-ups and not $80 fill-ups. I did ask about a rental and I was told there were no rental cars available in the area at the time. I waited 7 days and called for an update. At that time I was told the part is on backorder until February 20th. Concerned about the length of time and having my family members truck back to them, I asked about a rental. I was told that the dealership is changing hands and they do not have a new rental contract set up. I can only hypothesize this was the issue all along. I was not happy about this but I remained composed. I was told they would contact their Hyundai rep and see if there was anything they could do and they would call me the next day. They called the next day and I was told there is no option they have, and it comes down to a matter of payment for the rental vehicle. That I can contact Hyundai to see if they will reimburse me for a rental. I contact Hyundai customer service and I am told they cannot guarantee I would end up being reimbursed for a rental vehicle. Luckily I had access to my family members truck going forward. I received a call on February 22nd at 4:22PM EST that my vehicle was ready. I said great, I'll be there soon to pick it up. I believe I was there within the hour as I was driving back from Lafayette, IN. I walk in and give my name, I'm given my key fob and told that we will keep an eye on the battery discharge issue that is happening (this was a separate request for another issue that is ongoing). The employee was going to walk away and I said, "Do you know where my car is?". At that point he walked outside with me and was clueless to where it was. So I walk to a place where I can see behind the building and see my vehicle. He parts ways at that point. I go to my car and notice there was no car wash done on the outside. Okay, not something that was promised so whatever. I open my door and my vehicle is dirtier than it was when I left it. It wasn't completely clean but I wasn't expecting it to be dirtier. I'm sure it may seem petty but there was dried mud on the door frame from them getting in and out of my car. Possibly because the property there has been long overdue for maintenance and updating, both inside and out. Really what this comes down to for me is the fact that they had my vehicle for over 30 days. They were unable to provide me with a rental, due to a "them" issue, not a "me" issue. And there were no considerations given when it came to picking up my vehicle, or the condition/cleanliness of the vehicle. If they would have just run it through a car wash I wouldn't even be leaving this review. I would have been impressed for such a small act of kindness. Also walking me to my vehicle and not just handing me the key and leaving me to wander to find it. Unfortunately this is my only close option for service of my vehicle, otherwise I would reconsider going back for future service intervals. I would never purchase a vehicle from them, based on this experience."
