"I have dairy and soy allergies. Obviously eating out is HARD. But I at least knew GC had a binder with a list of every item and the allergens in them. Which is really helpful but also really overwhelming. Mike the hospitality manager came over and spent several minutes trying to help me find a meat I could eat (fyi baked potatoes and sweet potatoes and some salad bar/fruits were safe to eat). But all of the meats available for dinner that night had my allergens in them. So he offered to go back and make me 2 fresh hamburgers in a separate skillet to make sure I had something to eat. Was it fancy? No. And not worth the cost of a dinner buffet. BUT it was safe for me and tasted decent.. and the customer service was so great that I can overlook the price this once. Anyway, if you have a single food allergy, this place will likely be able to accommodate you pretty well, just ask Mike to help you out!"
"Everything was delicious! Business was staying steady, and not so busy as to wait in lines. I saw the carrot cake platter, and couldn't wait to get piece. I was telling the lady, at the table next to ours how delicious it was, and her husband went up and got the last 2 pieces. The girl working back in desserts promptly replaced it with a new one. I was so happy! It's my favorite! We had a very nice lunch!"
"The food was as expected. I had a large salad(lettuce was very fresh), cooked cabbage, catfish, rolls(a little chewy from being under the heat lamp too long). Over all the food was decent. The service was okay I guess. I wasn't pleased because I didn't see the waiter much. I had to wait over 10 minutes to get more water. The plates weren't so bad blocking the table but could have been checked on more often. The buffet tables were stocked well. Floor was clean & I saw a decent amount of workers spot cleaning. The desert options were good & was about 6 or 7 choices besides the ice cream. I would recommend going again. But not sure about taking children because of the cost & value."
"The manger on duty that night was on top of everything. He walked by our table of 16 people on new years day over heard the problem, he jumped on it and before anyone in the group could fix it, he come over asked the problem and went to fix it. Wish I could had gotten his name because he was on top of things."
"Nice people and good food. I go there at least once a month when in Evansville. They love and respect veterans. There is so much to choose from. You get your meal and dessert."
