"I recently moved to Alabama and needed to find a new gym so I checked out Crunch in Alabaster and a few other places. As a competitive track athlete, I needed to find a gym that offers a lot of options. From day 1 when Pauly took me around and showed me the place, I knew this was going to be the gym for me. It had everything I needed and Pauly, Tony, and everyone have been awesome every time I go. They even have an area to do medicine ball and kettle bell work with plenty of room and it’s no issue to do jump roping there too, unlike Planet Fitness, where I left specifically since you can’t do that there. I look forward to being a member as long as I’m here in the area and I know they will help me in my journey to win another gold this summer at the USA Track and Field Masters National Championship (Javelin Throw). Keep up the great work y’all! I appreciate you guys!"
"I find it disheartening to share negative reviews, I understand that perfection is unattainable, and mishaps are inevitable for any company. I believe occasional oversights can be forgiven, but when such lapses become ingrained in a company's culture, it merits critical evaluations, with the hope that positive changes will happen. Speaking out becomes needed to draw attention and seek improvement. I have been with Crunch Alabaster since its opening day, which was the peak of its customer service. Unfortunately, since then, there has been a noticeable decline in their standards, and the apparent lack of concern makes the situation worse. While the community within the gym remains fantastic, it appears that the leadership is indifferent to keeping that positive atmosphere. Previously, I used the showers, and get ready for work each morning. Now, due to the persistently unclean locker rooms and malfunctioning equipment left unattended for weeks or even months, I prefer taking extra time in the morning to shower at home. The lack of cleaning supplies, paper towels, and the need to bring personal items like cleaning towel and bar clips are additional challenges that have become routine. Despite my love for the gym, its people, and the overall workout experience, the situation is not improving. While I appreciate the occasional early opening times, the frustration of arriving at 4:15 am, only to wait in the parking lot for almost 45 minutes due to the tardiness of the 'District Manager,' is disheartening. The last thing I want is to search for other workout locations because of how much I enjoy being at Crunch Alabaster. However, I believe that this will fall on deaf ears, with potential responses merely promising improvements without concrete actions. True change requires leadership to address these issues proactively. Crunch Alabaster, we are asking you to do better, for the sake of those investing in your facility and the vision of creating a workout space. The ball is in your court, and meaningful actions will determine whether this review transforms into a positive testimonial."
"The gym has declined massively in the last few months…. Mornings have been less than consistent with openers and it seems all the reliable opening workers have all left…. Could be something to do with current management but who knows? This is what will cause everyone to leave and find 24 hour access gyms like gym time down the road! Do better."
"Most gyms are the same, right? They all have cardio, weights, machines, etc. You can get that anywhere. However, the difference is environment and community. Crunch has an incredible selection of equipment, classes, etc. (something for everyone). But, the main difference is the atmosphere. This is a big gym with a small gym feel. Everyone is friendly and supports one another on their fitness journey. If there is an issue with equipment, facilities, or people, Leighton is always quick to listen and respond by taking care of the concerns of the members. Just communicate and let him know. He cares about the club and it's members making Crunch Alabaster the best around."
"It’s not an exaggeration when I say this gym is a family. The nicest people and staff I’ve ever had the privilege of meeting. And I can’t say enough good things about the manager, Leighton. Truly an upstanding guy who who goes out of his way to make sure each individual has the best workout possible."
