"I went in today to grab a sandwich and was hit with the smell of cigarette smoke. Thinking it may have wafted in from outside, I started to order my sandwich . I was just me and the nice young lady taking my order and a gentleman siting at a table with a slew of papers in front of him ( possibly the owner ? ). Since there was no wait, I stayed while she prepared my sandwich, but I wish I had left as as soon as I'd walked in as the smoke smell was heavy. I mentioned it to the young lady who said it's probably the ovens- but it was not that type of smell and it was strong enough and off putting enough to warrant this note. I'm not a fan of this particular Subway ( not particularly welcoming - ever) but it was handy and I was hungry. Should have listened to my sixth sense and avoided it. Doubt I cross that threshold again when Lowell and St John both offer more pleasant experiences. The four stars are for the young lady - she was trying to do a good job and was pleasant."
"Don't waste your time going to this location. It is worth it to drive the extra few minutes to one of the St. John locations where the staff is properly trained and the owner doesn't have to post signs yelling at the customers about their poor service."
"The service and atmosphere are pure Subway, ok, and clean. This stores's bathroom is off limits still. But I like the sandwiches I've had there. I stick with the hot sandwiches, particularly the chicken. The chicken is real roasted chicken, and there is an ample amount of it on the sandwich. The bread they use isn't high end french, but it is fresh. The flatbread is pretty good also. Good enough that I bought some at the grocery store. Some Subways will sell an extra bread, but this one won't. The cookies are good too. There is a good deal if you add a bottle of soda, a bag of chips and a cookie. A well rounded meal! My store is open until 1 am, so it's a quick, easy late night meal."
"This is the worst Subway in NW Indiana. The Owner is a piece of dirt & rude as hell. Doesn't care about his customer all he cares about is making his restaurant look like a prison when you walk in. The food was awful and he has the smallest....um....meat serving you've ever seen. Never again. And his ignorant political views on his sign, really man? Do you not know that he wanted her to come home first? Fool."
"This is the worst Subway I have ever tried! The sub bun was stale and the lettuce was turning brown and wilted! When I asked the owner for fresher lettuce he became extremely rude! It is a little farther to drive but I now go to the Subway on 231, very good service and a much better sub! Maybe if the owner kept his political views off the marquee he would have time to run a more respectable buissness! I gave it one star because there wasn't an option to give it zero stars!"
