"My family and I had dinner at The Lab restaurant tonight and although we usually do not write reviews that often, the dinner we were served tonight definitely deserves it. The quality, taste and presentation were absolutely phenomenal and it felt like the food was prepared by people who enjoy their profession. While so many other restaurants have gone up in price and decreased in quality this was a pleasant change. The cherry on top was our server Yash. The moment we turned to walk into the restaurant Yash welcomed us with a genuine smile. Throughout our dinner he was attentive,  incredibly friendly and a joy to be served by. We wish we lived closer to Birmingham to have a chance to come here more often to enjoy dinner."

"This is one of the best hotel restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating at. We had the chips & queso, chicken tacos and steak tacos. The food was pretty authentic. The service and atmosphere were wonderful!"

"I got a bowl of tomato soup. My first bite was disgusting, I mean like someone opened a can of pasta sauce by accident and poured it into a bowl then decided to rectify their error by serving it alongside some stale store-bought crackers. While I didn't notice it on second bite the bowl was chipped, at that point my passive grin-and-bare it attitude changed to one of "this is a major safety issue". I'm lucky I didn't swallow any of the shards of the bowl. The service was good, waiter did comp us for the "soup" and genuinely apologized promising to throw the bowl away, I still do feel bad for him. The Lab used to be so good prior to the pandemic, it used to be one of my favorite places to eat, I'm so sad."

"We were very disappointed with the food. Service was average since we had to wait more than usual at the table to get our order in. The wine was very very cheap. At least the server was good to not charge it. The food was poorly executed, the burger was dry and medium at the same time... how's that happening? The place is very nice and the ambiance was good. We loved the design but the food was not good. I was expecting more, for sure. At the end of the day, it was hotel food, not a stand-alone restaurant."
