"Says they close at 10 but the doors was locked at 9:30 not understanding why this is so sad"
"Doors locked before closing hours on a Friday. Needed cat food, and now I have to go to ridiculous lengths to make sure they're fed."
"I got to the register with a few items and waiting there for about 3 to 5 minutes when an older lady came to the register. She didn't say anything so I started putting my stuff in the register just wanting to pay and leave. I needed cash back so when the register asked if I wanted it I chose to get $50 dollars in cash back. The older lady tried to cancel my transaction and when she couldn't started hitting the counter knocking stuff off upset because I wanted cash back. Note there are no signs on the register saying anything about needing to ask before requesting cashback but that didn't matter. Then we get into an argument because she didn't appreciate the fact that I commented on her attitude and lack of customer service skills. Some people just really shouldn't work in a customer environment and also if you don't want people to get cashback for any reason they should put a sign on the register stating that instead of throwing a temper tantrum like a child."
"Place is very clean employees are nice except the older lady with glasses she is rude and disrespectful and had the nerve to tell me I don’t know her like that when all I said was hope your day get better after our transaction cause she had a mean look on her face and wasn’t giving no eye contact and telling me to wait while I’m placing my items on counter and she continue to started fussing while I was walking out the door.. my girl wanted to slap her but I said nope tomorrow is Mother’s Day…she is rude and don’t know what is customer service… only thing she did customer service was to say welcome to family dollar…"
"Staff members need additional training in conflict resolution!I visited the location to purchase 2 items today and was waiting in line roughly 3 minutes before a second cashier was called for assistance on her register. An older woman attempted to skip at least 6 individuals including myself.I calmly walked over and stated:" ma'am there's a line for both registers".The woman then stated: "it wasn't that serious and that we didn't move when they asked for next in line".I then informed her that 4 younger boys were next in line, which explained why myself and the other patrons did not step forward. I then placed my items onto the counter and told her I was not allowing her to break me and she should move to the back of the line. She then continued to make a scene while both associates allowed her to remain at the counter. The male behind me allowed her to remain in front of him which was wrong considering 4-5 other individuals were waiting behind him. Given current events and stress, the situation could been ten times worse with the right person with nothing to lose.Thankfully I was raised to respect my elders and handled the situation appropriately. Associates have more duties than stocking, scanning and tendering transactions.I've worked in retail before and a simple ma'am/sir other customers are in line is much better than having to call the police for a brawl that could've been prevented by doing your job.If someone skips the line, direct them to the back or refuse service!!!"
