Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

"A 24 yo French on vacations. Used to come in Alabama when I was a kid. Real pleasure to go back to a Cracker Barrel in Mobile ! The food is very good, love the environment and the music. The store is also really funny ! Thanks for the souvenirs, hope to visit again soon ! Viva Country !"

"Seems like it doesn't matter if you eat in or place a pick up order the food is cold- luke warm at best. The sausage gravy had no flavor, more like glue or paste. My eggs were supposed to be over-medium and were extremely runny, hash brown casserole was dry and crusty around the edges. This restaurant chain in general quality of food has gone down significantly over the years, you're better staying home and making it yourself."

"The Schillinger location in Mobile AL needs to hire more servers. Waiting 5-10 minutes when there are open tables is ridiculous. I understand why and this is the reason you need to hire additional servers. Then having to hear foul language at a table where three women were sitting and talking so loud that one can hear the entire conversation is unacceptable, especially as children were seated next to them. Words like MF and GD and allowing this to carry on while other servers were nearby and no staff member asking this party to lower their tone and cease the foul language in a family restaurant shows me the staff does not care. Service was okay although our server would forget part of our order or we had to wait over a reasonable amount of time to have coffee refilled is unacceptable. Then all of this required me to go tell someone to remind our server to please serve us and only one or two cashiers when the line to pay was wrapped around to the dining area just added more frustration to our visit. I hope management resolved these issues."

"Always consistent good food. I got the Old Timers breakfast which was 2 eggs any way you like, 3 strips of crunchy bacon, and a breakfast side - which I had the grits and of course some piping hot biscuits! Browsed the country store on the way out. They had lots of summer clothes in for ladies and infants/children. Cracker Barrel has added a lot more mainstream type dishes to their menu such as loaded steak fries, a few cocktails and beer, even hamburgers!"

"I’m not a huge fan of the food at Cracker Barrel, but, when I travel and stay overnight in one of their lots I make sure to order something. This was hands down the best meal I’ve ever eaten at a Cracker Barrel. The gentleman that took my order (William P) was lovely and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. I ordered the cheesecake stuffed pancakes and they were delicious- light and flavorful, not sickly sweet and heavy. The kitchen staff did a nice job at preparing and plating my food for to-go. Out of all of the Cracker Barrel’s that I have eaten at across the US, this one is a 10/10. Thank you for the delicious food and friendly service!"
