"This place is phenomenal. We had our bday celebration here. This was our first time visiting the restaurant. Alonzo, the manager was the best host ever. He celebrated us and accommodated us to the 100. I recommend La Cocina to everyone."

"Stopped a LA Cocina on our way through town. Parking lot was very big, and they did not seem too busy (it was early for dinner) so it made a great stop after a long day. The atmosphere was what you would expect. The chips and salsa seemed fresh, and we got the pablano queso. Everyone should consider that mandatory. For less than $7 you get a huge bowl, ad I love that the pablano were huge pieces, not small diced peices that disappear flavor wise. I got the Pollo con queso. It was good, but I asked for no rice, and had it served with the Pollo con queso over the rice, so I had no choice but to eat the rice. I also tried the house hot sauce, which was great. My son had the fried shrimp po'boy wrap and loved it. My wife had a chimichanga that looked small when it came out, but turned out to be more than enough. My daughter had the fajita taco salad that turned into fajita-queso soup from all the juice for everything in the shell, but she said the flavor was awesome, and she didn't mind it at all. Overall it was a good stop, and I would highly recommend. Our server was very nice."

"The menu was made from cheap plastic and was a reflection of what was to come. The chips and salsa were good, and my food came out fast. The chips were not greasy, which i liked. I ordered the street tacos, which were good. I was disappointed with the beans that resembled chili with a piece of processed cheese melted on top. I'm wondering now if the salsa is fresh or canned. The service was excellent, and my waiter was very friendly and accommodating."

"I love going here with my wife. Our server Olivia was friendly, the music is upbeat, yet quiet enough that we can hold a conversation across the table without yelling. None of this would matter if the food was not good. I am from California and can be particular about what I consider good Mexican food. Every dish I have ordered is the one of the top 5 Mexican dishes I have ever eaten. I consider the food here the tastiest Mexican food within a days drive."
