"I had the mojeaux Mardi Gras pasta, and it was good. I also got gumbo and beignets, and they were good too. I can't wait to come again."
"First time visiting. We were greeted upon entering this establishment. We were seated at a booth but it was a tight fit so we asked to sit at a table instead. The server took our drink orders and we looked over the menu trying to decide what to order. During my research I knew I wanted to try the turkey legs to see if they wereas good as the Turkey Leg Hut. I was distracted by the varieties items and I wanted to try them ALL. My friend ordered a bowl of gumbo which was huge. She stated that was very delicious but spicy. We decided on Mojo It turkey legs with shrimp, crawfish and conecuh sausage. First bite I knew I loved it. The turkey leg was tender and flavorful. The penne pasta wasn't salty but well seasoned My only complaint was that this dish was too spicy for my palate. We spoke to the chef and gave him compliments on the meal. We told him it was spicy he stated that's that New Orleans flavor. Definitely will visit again. I'll just ask to hold off some of that spice please. I must mention that the chef's daughter was the sweetest most patient server. She was very knowledgeable and and answered any questions we had about the dishes."
"Went here for Valentine's Day 2024. Only 3 tables occupied when we got there. Over 10 minutes for drink orders to be taken. Server was seating people and appeared to be working the kitchen too... literally not enough people running the place, so service was indeed slow. No drink refills at all, had to ask for our salads, coleslaw, and hushpuppies that came with the meal- then it took 15 minutes to come, so had to take it home. The salad would've been nice to have before the meal. This seems to be a family owned business where some of the employees haven't learned the order of food service yet. With a little training, they'd be smooth sailing. Now that the bad is out of the way... they were very nice and THE FOOD WAS PHENOMENAL!!! My only complaint about the food, was than the green onion spinach dip was EXTREMELY salty, almost not edible. I thought it was just us, but the couple next to us got some too, and at first bite, their response was, "damn this is salty". The Seafood Platter- the oysters were the best I've ever had. Ever! And I've eaten more oysters than I can count. Fresh, Gulf, salty, large, plump oysters- fried to perfection. The fried shrimp were delicious and fried to perfection, where the shrimp were still juicy, but crunchy enough to eat the tails (I love crunchy shrimp tails). The catfish was good, but not the best I've ever had. Next time, I'd only get shrimp and oysters. There were a TON of fries- more than needed or what's reasonable. Go with a larger cut of fries (steak or crinkle) for bulk, and use less fries. The green onion coleslaw was delicious. The Shrimp and Grits- the shrimp were fried to perfection and battered perfectly. The grits were very think and stiff, which is perfect for shrimp and grits...where you can sort of cut it. The sauce on top of the shrimp and grits is out of this world. The green onion spinach dip- very delicious, but EXTREMELY salty. It had a cajun spin to it, and came out piping hot. The green onions were a delicious addition to get with some of the bites, and I actually could've used more green onions. When we got to the bottom, there was one lone surprise jalapeno waiting... like a little Christmas gift. Cut back on the salt, and this would be a game changer. I would love to be able to substitute sides, but was told this was not possible... ex- I wanted okra instead of fries. Overall 8/10, and I would 100% go back to try other things... but I MUST eat oysters EVERY time I go here. To the owners... KUDOS! You have a gem here."
"Outstanding! Wait staff (Clinton) was funny, made yummy recommendations. The food was out of this world! The location doesn't look great from the outside, but go anyway! Literally everything we ate was authentic and delicious!"
"Food was good! We ordered the burger and the oyster poboy. Appetizer was the fried shrimp with sweet chili sauce. The fries were a little soft for my preference and I wished it was hot and crispy. The burger meat could have been seasoned a little more imo, however it was juicy and cooked medium! For two people, food was $53. I would definitely go back!"
