"Beef cheeks, you saw it right, beef cheeks! If you’re going make this dish, you know what you’re doing! Super cool hidden gem of Birmingham. Very Italian feel, close tables, loud, incredible service, and amazing food. Bombolini, veal chop parmesan, and the beef cheeks were out of this world!"

"I am giving the atmosphere 3 stars because we were in the back room and the room was humid and smelled of mildew. Granted it has been hot & humid today (over 100⁰). I have eaten here one other time in the same room and there was no issue. That aside, the food was delicious and the service was wonderful. We had a drink at the bar before our table was ready. Even though the bartender was busy, he made us feel seen and heard. Once we were seated, our server told us the specials which all sounded great. We decided to stick with the menu. We started with the Warm Pistachio Crusted Goat Cheese and the Fiocchi. Both were great and I would go back to sit and the bar with those apps and a few drinks. We moved on to the Chopped Salad (friend) and the Baby Greens Salad (me). My salad was solid and I enjoyed it. I will order it again, but wouldn't make a special trip for it. For the main course, I had the Pistachio and Goat Cheese Crusted Rack of Lamb and my friend had the Joyce Farms Chicken Breast Francese. Both were delicious and I look forward to exploring the rest of the menu!"

"This hands down might be one of the best Italian restaurants in Alabama if not the south. Iva in the Wine Bar is an amazing individual and will make your meal feel like you’re one of the family. Bailey is super great too and very patient with explaining to new customers!"
