"What I like most about the food was that even though the jerk chicken was spicy, you could still taste the seasonings on the chicken that complemented the spicy jerk. I will go back to try other things on the menu because the food was so good. The rice and beans was well seasoned and the cabbage was cooked differently than what I am use to but was good also. This place has only been open for a few days so please don't change a thing."
"Easily the best jerk I’ve had in Alabama. Leroy and his crew have created an impressive spot. Feels like Kingston! Chicken fell off the bone and had a tremendous amount of flavor. Cabbage was spectacular and the plantain was also incredible. I’m looking forward eating there again"
"We visited this restaurant for dinner (supper). We were seated fairly quickly and gave our order but it was taking a long time to arrive. Finally the cook came from the back and was just standing around surveying the restaurant. Our waitress approached him and showed him our order. He hurriedly went back to the kitchen and a few minutes later we received our meals. Quite frankly, we were disappointed. We've visited Jamaica before and knew that whatever this was, it was not jerk chicken. In fact, my dinnermate had ordered the spicy chicken and he received the same chicken. The only difference was his had the spicy sauce poured on top of his and mine had a jerk sauce poured on top of mine. The chicken underneath was dry and the rice that came with the meal was crunchy like it was old. We picked at our food while the DJ loudly played reggae infused R&B over the speakers. You honestly could barely hear yourselves talk. The owner came out and was greeting some customers while blatantly ignoring others. We will not be going back. The whole experience was anything but Jamaican."
"Very good place the owner came out and introduced himself. Very clean place. The food look and tasted like perfection. Kim was our waitress she was very friendly, helpful, and greeted us well.We will be back."
"I’ve been here on two separate occasions. The first time, I got the curried goat and the second time, the jerk chicken. The food is amazing! It’s so flavorful and always hot whenever it comes to you. The owner always has a warm, friendly smile and the staff is always ready to serve. Would definitely recommend to all locals and visitors :)"
