"I order close to $50 worth of dinner for pickup. The food was ready in time. Arrived & was given my order after I was asked my name. I arrived home & discovered half of my order was missing. I called & instead of just apologizing… they blamed it on DoorDash not realizing, I actually picked it up. I returned & was greeted with eye rolls, no hello, no sorry, no thank you. While checking the remaining part of my order, I noticed the chips but no quest. When I asked alerted the ypu g lady, she proceeded to charge me again. I refused & decided to chalk it up as a loss. The customer service was awful. Not too mention, the burria tacos were dry, no cheese, not tasty at all & seemed overcooked. I was only given barely any rice to go with meal, the meal was pathetic & comical. The nachos were soggy , but the steak in it was tasty. Chicken Tacos are always delicious, but I probably won’t return after this experience. Ironically, they were quite pleasant to the white patrons coming in as I entered/exited, from my observation. Totally disappointed in this place & even more-so since I live within a 1/2 mile of it."
"Update 12/23: They now do daily specials that they have listed on the window of the business. (If you are like me and like to save a few bucks where you can, I enjoy a good special!) Also, I can't get over the Enchiladas Rancheras. They are SO GOOD! I think I've got them the past 3 times I went. Can't recommend them enough! Update 9/11/23: They got rid of happy hour which makes me sad, but the food is still really good. I've given it a few tries and it's delicious! They have great salsa. Full of flavor. ( A Mexican restaurant without good salsa is no bueno.) Their happy hour is long and a great deal and the margaritas are really good on top of that! The staff has always been friendly and attentive. The food is always delicious. I'm glad to have this little locally owned place close by where I live when there seems to be nothing but chains popping up in the area. Also, their Verde sauce is delicious! Can't wait to come again!"
"Absolutely love this restaurant! The food is delicious and well made, portion sizes are good. Drinks are delicious, regular and alcoholic. Seating is comfortable and well laid out. My family and I have been going since it opened and it's one of the best restaurants I've been to! Highly recommend!"
"I thought this place was really. Chips great, salsa great. I had the taco salad. Good taste but way too wet. Needed more cheese. Other's food looked good too."
"I will preface this review with, it has been incredibly difficult to find an authentic Mexican restaurant and being Mexican myself, I hold the standard for this food much higher than other places... And ladies and gentlemen this is it! I have come to this restaurant many times and of all the times there has not been a single bad dish! The two dishes that stand out the most are the birria queso tacos with a side of consomé (broth that tacos are dipped into) and the carne asada, the reason I am leaving a review! The differentiator that makes the carne asada (skirt steak) or mestique steak as it's called on the menu great is it is put on the plancha (grilled on a flat metal plate) and then transferred onto a parrilla (grill). Giving it a unique smoky juicy flavor! I have not found a restaurant here that performs this cooking operation on a Mexican staple, until now. I recommend also asking for a lime to squeeze for added flavor! All in all, this restaurant here is the pinnacle for Mexican food here in the Madison area and encourage you, the reader, to try anything out on the menu! For desserts, they have churros, Michoacana ice cream made with real fruit, and other classics! The waiting staff is incredibly friendly, and Andres, has great recommendations if you're curious to try new things!"
