"I quit going there ages ago. The owner is rude and condescending to all people in all events for no apparent practical reason. I want to see an independent store prevail in the face of gentrification. But this guy. He’s too awful to endure."
"It should tell you something that there are almost as many 1 star reviews as 5 stars. The owner goes out of his way to be rude, I genuinely have no idea how he stays in business."
"Great place to go if you enjoy being treated like child. I kept going there for the past decade just for convenience if I needed a furnace filter or something, but I'm done. The older man with glasses (who I assume is the owner) is maybe the most condescending and rude person to whom I've ever willingly handed money, and I've been to NYC. If you are in a position where you are dealing with the public (and a returning customer, just to remind you) and you have nothing but the most bitter of dispositions, I'd recommend you take one of those sleds down the rest of that hill and park yourself at home in a lazyboy. I'll be at Home Depot✌️"
"It's actually pretty funny, as this was my first time going in. I had been compiling a list of needs long enough to where it made sense to finally visit (I live downtown). I entered and was not greeted (fine, I thought he was helping someone). The old man was just chatting it up with this dude and just decided it wasn't actually worth the time to wait on. When the customer finally left, he pretended I wasn't there. So I asked if they replicated keys to the response of "yep" accompanied by an eye roll. I responded with wow, thanks for being so helpful and left. In a day and age when these stores are DYING on the daily , show a bit more grace and appreciation for the people Who go out of their way to shop with you. Unreal."
"You can keep your Lowe’s and Home Depot, I will only be coming here from now on to get hardware. They have the biggest selection of older model items and the staff is so helpful. He knew exactly what I needed before I even said a word, just took a glance at the bag my old part was in. Got me all set up and walked me through what I needed to do when I got home step by step. I couldn’t be happier with my experience here today!!"
