"We were in Charlevoix a couple days ago. The brand new shower sump pump i installed quit working. I called the owner and next day morning. They sent a guy to the boat to fix the issue. After spending an hour he found out that the sump pump wire connection was oxidized. Only thing he did was to cut the oxidized wire and fix it. Today they charged me 245$ for a 3 hour job. Just to fix this wire Seriously how long would it take to fix a wire. Not 3 hours. Very dishonest people."

"As a business owner myself, I was blown away by the level of service offered from the owner Doug. It was reprehensible and I cannot believe he operates that way. The yard crew was great to work with and I was impressed with their skill set and knowledge. They helped load a boat onto my trailer as I was a transporter moving multiple new boats from their location to another dealer. The crew asked if they could borrow my trailer the following day to load the next boat of my transport so they didn’t have to haul out on a hydraulic trailer , then transfer to a hoist, then load onto my trailer. I obliged , asking that my trailer (only 3 weeks old and $15,000) was taken care of. They offered to keep it in their building which surprised me but I was very thankful. I arrived the following day to pick up my trailer and the boat only to find my trailer damaged, with a rim messed up, and a flat tire. They didn’t feel a need to call me, they didn’t offer to help fix, they just left my trailer and the boat near the entrance with a flat. When I pulled in to pick up the rig, I noticed the clearly flat and damaged tire/rim and immediately went to find management to discuss. A yard crew member let me call the owner on his cell phone as there was no management presence. I literally cannot even begin to explain the owners response to me as I’ve never seen anyone, in any business , respond this way. I calmly and respectfully explained the situation, just hoping for an apology and maybe some consideration to have the tire patched, but that was the last thing that was offered. The owner of the business Doug, told me to “chalk it up to life.” He said that he was the person responsible for driving my trailer to the water and it was flat before he drove down the road. He personally damaged my trailer driving down the road with a flat tire. Then he hauled the boat out and drove back to the marina with a damaged rim and left my trailer sit there for me to pick up. In my business , if I borrow any persons equipment and something happens on my watch I take care of them 110%. I would have grabbed the spare, replaced it, offered to get the other tire patched, and called immediately. Instead I received nothing from Bergman Marine except “chalk it up to life!” . They had my phone number and didn’t even call me to discuss the situation. Even their yard crew agreed with me and said they would be mad too if that happened to them. I would not recommend Bergmann Marine to any retail customers if they value their boats . The company is founded on shaky values and they will not stand behind their name. I’m embarrassed to have to write this but my experience war literally the worst I’ve ever seen in the boating industry in 20 years."
