"Manny and Harrison came out to check out my roof and provide me a free quote. They were very professional and easy to talk to. They checked out the roof and did a walk around. After the walk around Manny informed me my roof was still in great condition and there was no need to change it. His honesty alone will be the reason I call them back if I need roof work."
"These guys were great they came in, worked hard and got the job done fast. Manny did a presentation saying everything about the warranty it was awesome. If I could suggest any company it would be Sargent. my wife is a fact checker. While Manny was presenting, she checked out the facts. Everything they said was accurate and true. I would suggest you not go to any other place. These guys are awesome! The best part was that my wife was happy! Believe me if you can impress my wife, you have done a great job!"
"I'm very disappointed to be posting a negative review for this company. Based on a 5* average across 100+ reviews, this should not have been my experience. Summary: odd pricing/discount structure, not quoting the real job, poor communication from the owner (Bryan), subpar completion of job, and unprofessional behavior of the subcontractors and Bryan at my home. Manny, the sales guy, was nice but I do believe their pricing structure is designed to be confusing and have huge overhead. They shock you with the first number, and then run through a series of discounts (if you can offer 38% off, how was the original number real?) so you feel better. Oh also, you get a 5% discount if you put a deposit RIGHT NOW! I should have taken that as the red flag it was. I would also note that Manny told me specifically that Sargent does not use subcontractors, it's all "their guys" who do the work. When the gutter install day came, Bryan called me to let me know that the individual coming to my home would have a "language barrier" and if I had any issues to call Bryan. Okay, sure. I didn't have any issues communicating with BT when he arrived, and he did a great job on the gutters. However, he was in an unmarked van, which I thought was odd given the whole "no sub-contractors" line. BT worked all day, took several pics at the end, and let us know when he left - very professional. The stars are for his work, which I included a picture of. The following week, another crew came out to dig an underground french drain from the house to the yard under a section of patio sidewalk. The invoice, job description, and what I was paying for all stated "16 ft of 4" PVC from house to yard". This crew showed up in a truck with a different (landscaping) company's logo, didn't knock on my door, completed the work surprisingly quickly, and left without letting me know. It also turns out they did not take pics of the job they completed, and I could see undisturbed soil/pavers in the location they were supposed to have removed old drainage and added new PVC. Odd. I emailed Bryan on Thursday to let him know that if they hadn't removed the old drain and only done 10-12ft of PVC, that was fine but should be reflected in my invoice. Bryan's email response amounted to, "I assure you Rob did use 16ft of PVC, and even if he didn't, Manny was supposed to charge you more for going under the sidewalk and so you owe us for 16ft". What? My boyfriend and I weren't convinced and could see water pooling around where they had worked. So, we dug it up. As you can see from my pictures, it was not 16ft of PVC, but rather a shoddily taped together corrugated mess with the drain pipe sloped the wrong direction. I sent the pictures to Bryan on Saturday morning and he immediately called, "Oh I didn't understand your email I should never have replied the way I did. I trust these guys and have never had an issue". Well, too late. If you don't understand an email communication, pick up the phone, or better yet, show up to the site to address concerns. Later on Saturday, the original crew showed up to my house and argued with both me and my boyfriend about the work done. Apparently it was never communicated to them that the drain was to be all PVC. When Bryan showed up 20 mins later, they squabbled for a while in front of us, and suddenly it was "oh yes ma'am we'll do it right if you want PVC you got it". Bryan offered to complete the work for free, but at that point we were so disappointed with the unprofessional behavior, changing stories and arguing between the subcontractors and Bryan that we just asked them to leave without completing the work, and to send me an updated invoice for just the gutter work. Bryan was very frustrated that we bothered them on a Saturday morning. In the end, if you really believe "Reputation is everything", that should instruct every decision you make and every interaction with a customer, not just when you are trying to clean up your mess. Such a disappointing experience."
"I had Sargent install gutter guards on my gutters last week. I was very impressed with all the employees from my initial contact with the company to the fellows who cleaned my gutters before installation of the gutter guards. The installers were on time for the appointment, friendly, knowledgeable and professional during the installation. They even reminded me that they will come to my house yearly to make sure the guards were working properly! I will definitely check with Sargent should I need home repair work in the future. I highly recommend this company!!"
"My wife and I just moved into our first house and were very eager to get it looking up to par. The first project was our gutters that were very old, torn up and just had to be replaced. Very thankful that we decided to go with Sargent Services. After reaching out we were able to set up a walk around quote with the owner Bryan the very next day. After review and pricing we decided to move forward and they had them replaced and done by the next week. Nick and Matt came out the day of and were very professional, even got the job done within a few hours and everything turned out great. Very cool to know they measure and customize your gutters right there on the job and were able to match the color to the house. Without a doubt worth every penny spent."
