"Wouldn’t recommend unless you only have a couple adults and are looking to spend the whole day. They even charge for infants, and for our small family of three to go hang out for an hour, we had to pay $15. They also only take cash or check, so be prepared to pay $5 a person (resident pricing only, bring more if you aren’t a resident). It’s super disappointing seeing a place I used to come every day as a kid turn into such a money grab. The employees are extremely friendly and the lake is great, it’s just sad how inaccessible it’s becoming."
"This place is great for families with small children, it is easy to supervise. The amount of sand is nice for a child to play in. However for grown people there is very little room. Costed 16 dollars for two people only to sit on grass and have about 50 yards to swim in. It is also right next to a main road. Good for a picnic spot, not great for a beach day."
"First time I was ever to Deer Lake beach is when I got my certification in scuba diving. It’s a super clean beach, very well maintained. Perfect spot to take in a sunset…."
"Love this little beach! Great staff, friendly and helpful. Very clean and we'll maintained. Swim classes for many age groups. This is definitely a family oriented beach. No partying, smoking, drinking. Beach area divided for swimming according to age groups. Volleyball court on South end of beach. There is a boat launch also for those that have access privileges."
"Great community beach. Close parking, affordable prices (cash only), friendly staff, water is clean and clear. Shallow and deep end. Space for sandcastle building too. Kids gave it 5 stars."
