Goldfish Swim School - Clarkston

"Open swim is a nice to offer the community but Goldfish does a poor job running it. It is so overcrowded lately. I don't feel that it is safe for children to swim with the number of people allowed in. I lost count of how many times I was hit in the head by a foam floating cut out or the canoe. How can the lifeguards watch everybody with large foam floating toys obstructing their view? Little children are not required to wear life jackets here which makes things even more scary. What also bothered me were the number of people taking pictures with no one stopping them. I never gave my permission for strangers to take pictures of my children in bathing suits! Why not extend the 1 hour open swim to 3 hours so they don't have 100 people coming at once. Or offer more sessions of open swim. It's not worth the $10 a person. I'm actually shocked at what's allowed; It's a huge liability for them."

"Wished I would’ve signed up sooner, my child absolutely loved her first class and can’t wait for next. This is her first time in the water without any flotation devices. She was a little scared, but the instructor was huge help was getting her positivity up. We left the class with my daughter swimming on her own for the very first time. Highly recommend it."

"My daughter had started out essentially not knowing how to swim at all to now begging to swim all the time. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and caring. They gently push to advance my child at her pace. There is strong encouragement at all levels. Facilities are kept eceptionally clean and there is even a machine to dry off my child's suit, which is a big help. We have done free time and structured classes and could not say enough good things about Goldfish Swim School. My daughter is looking at competitive swimming now because she loves it so much. The staff are friendly, ask three teachers that my daughter has been instructed by have made a great impression with her and she's progressed quickly because of the methods used to teach swimming here. It's clean, fairly priced, and love the extra open swims we get included with our lessons!"

"Goldfish (Clarkston) is a 10 out of 10. The staff is always friendly from the time we walk in the door till the time leave. Changing rooms and bathrooms are always clean. The instructors are very patient with the kids. They are super encouraging to them as well, always giving them the confidence that they can do it. My daughter always looks forward to going to swim class. Her confidence around water is much improved from attending class. I would highly recommend this facility."
