"We had Christopher from CAS Home Services remodel our super funky and ridiculously small main-level bathroom. He absolutely blew us away with speed, communication, and great attention to detail. Because of Christopher's experience and planning, we felt really confident in his plans and ideas. He helped us utilize the small space in the best way possible and now it feels even bigger which was absolutely a big win for us! Breasia, our project manager, was absolutely incredible. She was so responsive, patient and an *incredible* communicator which really helped us feel confident and prepared as we took on our first home project! Can't wait to have them back for more projects - we absolutely would recommend!!!"
"I recently hired CAS Home Services for a basement remodel, and I have to say I am genuinely impressed by the teams professionalism. From Christopher coming out to quote the job to the crews that handled the project, their punctuality, expertise, and respect for my belongings and two pups truly stood out! When I asked about permits, CAS Home Services assured me they'd handle everything, and they did. The whole process was seamless. If you got this far into my review. I HIGHLY recommend CAS Home Services. Don't just take my word for it. Give them a call and see for yourself!"
"CAS truly helped me bring my vision to life. They turned my all glass slider, three season porch into a studio space that I now use for my sound healing business. They were really quick to communicate and complete the project in a timely manner. Every person who has stepped into the space has felt relaxed and at peace which is exactly what I was hoping for. This company was incredible to work with. They helped me feel comfortable with each decision that was made and eased my worry when issues arose. Such a great company to work with and we’re looking forward to doing other projects with them."
"Did a great job on our ADA compliant deck. Dealt with the permit & city, communication was better than the average contractor. Would definitely use again!"
"I met with Christopher (owner of CAS) in 4/23 for an estimate on a bathroom remodel. I made a $6900 deposit on 5/5/23. We signed a contract that said he was a licensed contractor in Michigan. I sent him a list of items I wanted for my bathroom, the shower head, faucet, lights, mirror & flooring. He never ordered any. He made excuses saying “they” had sent him the wrong items. I texted him the shower door I wanted & he said that was “perfect” because he already ordered it. The shower door that was installed was not the one sent. He never ordered any of the items I asked. He was frustrated with me asking about inconsistencies in his work (or asking ANY questions). I sent him pictures of his work & asked if certain things would be fixed. He always said they would be completed during the “finishing touches." He says he was rushed but he viewed being rushed as me asking him questions about his workmanship. He said that ANYTHING additional to the estimate would be signed off on by me. He never provided me with an updated estimate during this & never had me sign off on any additional costs. On 6/29/23 he sent me a text saying he would no longer continue work on the project until I signed a new contract that increased the cost of the overall project by $4047 making it now $15076. I was out of the house while he was working so he didn't feel rushed, hoping he would take care & time to get the project perfect. Nope. Upon “completion” he left 1 day & sent an email saying he was done. He cracked the brand-new flooring, the bathroom flooring has started to warp, flooring in the shower is so uneven that even though the floor has a slope, the water sits stagnant on the flooring causing it to smell. Jagged nails stick out of the wall, trim not attached to the wall. Installed the shower doors backwards & never secured the track to the curb in the shower, he altered the length of the track, voiding the warranty on the shower door. He left loose electrical wires in my wall. On 8/26/23 there was water all over my basement floor, leaking from multiple locations in my ceiling. After further investigation into Christopher Schipper, it was found he was not a licensed contractor in the state of Michigan upon the estimate, signing of the contract or during the project. He was not licensed by LARA until 8/31/23. I asked for partial refund of the work he did & he said that he was fully licensed in the state of Florida & moved to Michigan & the process of transferring licenses takes some time. However, MI doesn't hold any reciprocal agreements with any other states so the individual must meet all Michigan requirements for licensure. After more water in my basement ceiling below the shower, I hired a home inspector to do a full inspection of the bathroom. In the report there were many issues, including the drain in the basement ceiling, for the shower plumbing, was improperly sloped & therefore not allowing for proper drainage. On 9/23/23 another leak was pooling water in the basement from his improper installation. The issues aren't "cosmetic." The issues I asked him to fix, he made worse. I sent him a certified letter to try to resolve this amicably. Instead, he decided to accuse me of following him home to get his address (in reality, he left an Amazon package at my house when he did not order the things I asked for & instead used Amazon for faster delivery of the closest thing to my initial requests). I didn’t want to post this review, didn’t want to go to court, I held off for a long time. He chose to take no responsibility, customer blame & yesterday, make threats about “seeing me” & name calling. His gf & CAS project manager, got into an argument with my gf & referred to me as “broke.” I’m the customer & these are supposedly professionals & now I have to be concerned for my safety? It's sad it had to come to this when all I wanted was the bathroom of my dreams. Everything I've stated is backed up with hundreds of pages of documentation. His response to all bad reviews are to customer blame and make verifiably false accusations."
