"Incredible museum! I had no idea what a large museum Cleveland had. They've got a nice parking garage that is reasonably priced, museum admission is free, and they've got a really nice cafe. Even more encouraging was the fact that it has a nice crowd on a random Saturday. They've got some impressive pieces including Monet. But they aren't limited to one era or culture. It would take several visits to soak it all in."
"Giant museum with exhibits from all around the world. There is paid street parking free on weekends along with paid garage and paid parking lots. The museum is free daily. And is open late on Wednesdays till 10pm. There is a cafe that serves food drinks and snacks inside. They have a gift shop and several bathrooms throughout the museum. No food or drinks aloud inside the museum unless purchased from the cafe."
"The Cleveland Museum of Art consistently ranks as one of the best comprehensive art museums in the United States and one of the most-visited in the world. But what does that actually mean? This isn’t the kind of museum where you show up, look at a couple of Picassos, then find the nearest bar. It's home to more than 61,000 works of art spanning 6,000 years — including soothing lily pad oils by Monet, ancient hot bod Grecian statues and 100 very vivid images of Marilyn Monroe courtesy of Andy Warhol. Oh, and after more than 100 years, the museum’s founders would be pleased to know that their bedrock belief that admission should be free to the general public is still adhered to today. You might also be pleased to know that, because, you know…free."
"One of the best museums I've ever been to, I really immersed myself in the past. Different cultures, styles, countries and the most talented creators. Very beautiful paintings that you can see only in this museum, various world sculptures, extremely beautiful tableware, as well as ancient furniture. The museum itself is very large, two floors, there are elevators, you can also have a delicious snack in the cafe, a large selection of food and drinks, cuisine for every taste. There is also a zone where children can play and show their creative skills, for example, create a portrait of themselves or mold a vase from clay, draw with gestures on the screen, so children will not be bored here. We spent about 3 hours in the museum, but we were very satisfied and pleasantly surprised by what we saw. The museum itself is free, but you have to pay for parking, the museum has friendly staff, it is clean, light and cozy. We visited on Friday, there were not many people, there are many benches where you can rest, toilets. My family and I receiving a lot of positive emotions from such beautiful, informative and instructive places, recommend it to everyone))"
"I was very impressed by this museum. Very broad, expansive collection with some nice items. They have some unique ancient Greek, Roman, and Vincan items that I don't recall ever seeing equivalents of in places like the British Museum, Louvre, or some other nice museums around the US. Attached are some of those that I found to be unique plus more modern art that I enjoyed."
