The location is close to down town and grocery stores which is perfect. Lynn has been wonderful and so helpful. If I ever have a question or need help with anything she is always so timely with her responses. I highly recommend living here!"

"My favorite place I’ve ever lived! The location is prime- close to downtown, but with a little more breathing space. Walking distance to grocery shopping, the River walk, the Dequindre Cut, and so much more. Lafayette Park itself is absolutely gorgeous. Perfect for people who love being active outdoors. The staff is very friendly, Lynn and Jameson will make you feel right at home upon move-in and throughout the length of your stay. They are very proactive with taking care of any issues that need to be handled. One thing I love about this complex is that it’s always super clean. Lashanda keeps this place sparkling and smelling fresh. It’s always a pleasure to run into any of them! The units are gorgeous, high ceilings, and everything is modern. I will say, the walls are on the thinner, so if hearing other people living in their apartments is a problem for you, just keep that in mind. That’s honestly my one complaint, but still giving it 5 stars because I love it here so much. This is actually my second time living here! I moved away for a year to help my family out, and missed it so much that I moved back. I feel safe here. I haven’t had any problems. I love the gym, I love the pool, and I love my apartment itself. There is no other place I would rather live in the city."

"These are some of the best apartments I have stayed in. When it comes down to it, the most important things for me are cleanliness, safety, and a management that is responsive to tenant's needs. This is exactly what my experience has been with DuCharme Place. When appliances go out or other work is needed, they are quick to respond- there is an actual 24hr maintenance service. The housekeeping staff Lashawnda keeps every lobby, hallway, elevator, and amenity space clean and inviting. There is overnight security present daily, making me feel a lot safer leaving my car in the garage. I would wholeheartedly recommend this apartment to anyone looking to stay in Detroit."

"My husband and I have been residents at DuCharme Place for almost five years now and love the community! The staff is THE BEST. Everyone is super friendly and reliable. Lynn is always readily available and quick to address any concerns. Lashanda puts in so much work to keep the community clean, and it really shows. It’s a great location with a park next door, multiple grocery stores in walking distance, and a 10-minute walk to downtown. The units are spacious with tall ceilings and large windows. They also have in-unit washers and dryers, which is hard to find downtown."

"Moved in here in Spring after getting burned out downtown. I have to say, I love it! The management are the BEST! So friendly and so easy to work with. My place is a 2 BR unit on the top corner facing Lafayette, and it is quiet as a mouse! I never hear my neighbors, so honestly cannot understand the negative reviews concerning noise. It's possible that those overlooking the pool area might hear some, but the pool closes at 10 pm for the comfort of those nearby. There is secure parking and an evening on-site security guard. My unit has a small balcony and gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows which let it tremendous natural light and provide a wonderful breeze. The kitchen and dining areas are spacious, and I love the first bedroom (without windows) for sleeping in on a lazy weekend morning. The pool and hot top area is amazing! The best part has been meeting so many friendly people who often hang out there on summer evenings and weekends. It's a family atmosphere where many residents will offer to share drinks or food that they are grilling on the provided gas grills. Lafayette Park is a gem. It's the greenest neighborhood bordering downtown, and is very quiet and walkable. The mid-century modern towers rising above the trees are magnificent, as are the townhomes tucked peacefully beneath them. Ducharme Place has a modern aesthetic which fits well into this acclaimed Mies van Der Rohe-designed neighborhood. There is a convenient strip mall including an excellent full-service grocery story across the street. You are right off the Dequindre Cut for easy access to both Eastern Market and the Riverwalk. Downtown and Greektown are a short walk away. One last thing is value for the money. My 2 BR corner unit with a balcony is far less than the going rate in Detroit, and you get covered secure parking, a pool, hot tub, community room and fitness center. Do not listen to the naysayers and do yourself a favor and come look at the place yourself. I would highly recommend living here to anyone."
