"Beautiful new hotel! Staff very friendly. Food really good. Rooftop bar is so nice! Would love to experience in the summer. Only thing that was inconvenient was the soap and conditioner was empty in the shower and only realized after I was in the shower. We stayed two nights and the maid did not replace. Also did not give more coffee. Small inconvenience but for the price you pay you expect these things. Overall very beautiful place and would go back for sure."

"My husband and I have found the new place we will stay when we come downtown. The hotel is really cool and new. The staff was above our expectations for how excellent, helpful, and friendly they were, and the people at the front desk were kind enough to point us across the street for a shuttle to the game since they don't provide one. I only wish we had made it back from the game in time to visit the rooftop lounge, but, next time!"

"City Love: The hotel is beautiful appointed, with sophisticated, yet fun, nods to the origins of Detroit. (Artwork, and the headboards evoke the front of an automobile, but not obviously so, very clever) We were able to partake of an event on the rooftop lounge, valet, the lobby bar and room service, and all was wonderful. What really set it apart was the people. The valet service was friendly and efficient (even though we arrived with a lot of others for the event) check in was friendly and welcoming and everyone was not only accommodating, but intentional in ensuring a pleasant experience. We stayed on the eve of a Lions playoff game, and the electricity in the air and anticipation could derail service, but instead the whole team stepped into the opportunity to show customers what a warm and welcoming city Detroit can be."

"We had a wonderful experience with the Godfrey. The front desk personnel were wonderful and kind, the room clean and very comfortable, and the food at the Hamilton (the in-house restaurant) was excellent. It was just short of 5 stars for a couple of minor reasons. First, the food is expensive. For example, we had two soups and two orders of fries delivered to the room and it was over $50, not including tip. Second, there is no sundry store in the hotel. Your only options for snacks and toiletries is the gas station a few blocks away. That said, we would definitely stay there again."

"This was our first time visiting Detroit and we LOVED this hotel! Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar was *chefs kiss*. The rooms were very clean, modern and comfortable. The location was fantastic - we came for the Thanksgiving game and walked to the stadium. It was about a 25 minute walk and we were thrilled to avoid traffic and the general chaos following a large event. Already planning to return next year and will definitely book again!"
