"Lived here for 2 years and would stay another 2. The maintenance team is great, friendly, and respond timely. Jaime is available if you need her and does a great job of making improvements to the complex. The price is pretty much the same as other rentals in the area."

"While the staff and neighbors are nice, this place needs to just get gutted. It’s been one old thing breaking after the other. This is NOT “LUXURY” in any sense of the word. We settled because of the area, but don’t be fooled. This place is a cheap apartment being sold for super high prices. Everything in our place has been a problem. Toilet, tub, machines etc. If you want a safe place, this is it. If you want a nice place… that’s debatable. Even the sink scratches were PAINTED over to hide the scratches lol zip ties to fix old toilets for cheap, locks on doors simply falling off (that was scary)."

"Townhouse was my home for five years. One of the larger units. What I liked: 1) large pool. big enough to swim laps 2) your own personal door so receiving a paper newspaper (yes they are still printed) is easy 3) laundry in your apartment. nothing shared. 4) yes the location is great. easy walk to Hines drive, then a pretty walk through Hines Park to downtown Northville. 5) car port 6) when I had maintenance issues they were addressed within couple of days. Issues with larger appliances Management didn't mess around. Refrigerator and clothes washer replaced without hassle. Would I recommend to live there? Yes. What I didn't like: I think rent was pretty high."

"Nice quiet area and that's what you pay for. Overall, the place is overrated - I second the review about spiders and bugs crawling through cracks from the floor and such. Just keep in mind, I repeat "KEEP IN MIND" that management and staff there are NOT YOUR FRIENDS. Obviously there's good experiences and bad, mine was unfortunately the bad. My first check towards rent did not process and i wasn't able to access my mailbox for any notices due to a wrong mailbox key. Of course they assumed it was user error until I was finally given new set of keys to the correct mailbox only to find out I had a court case filed already for my eviction. That was soon cleared with a loss of $375 on my end. As my least comes near an end, I never received my deposit and credit refund of over-paying my last month's rent. I call and speak to the office manager and she states that I failed to give notice of not renewing my lease 60 days prior. Of course I have questions and concerns, but she immediately says "there's a person who just walked in, let me look over your files and give you a call back about your refund/credit." I never get a call back but I read over the lease agreement terms regarding the policy to give 60 days notice, they will give you least amount of effort to remind you of these things. Total loss of $2400 on my end here. My take-away and advise for interested residents: READ that agreement and have a high-lighter handy because the policies will be enforced with zero heads up towards your deposit and wallet!"

"My boyfriend and I have recently moved up here at the beginning of January and so far we love it! It has for sure exceeded our expectations. It's super quite and the maintenance has been very quick to respond to our requests! We love that it is minutes away from everything that this town has to offer. The residents are all super nice as well. The property is well kept and all of the staff will go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. If you are looking for a place to call "home" come live at Cedar Lake Apartments; you wont regret it!!"
