"Very polite, helpful and nice customer service people. I ordered the wrong size cartridge filter which was definitely my fault. I had to return it at my cost which is very expensive through UPS right now, $38. When I called they helped me figure out the correct cartridge to order. They sent another one to me and it came quickly and they did not charge me a restocking fee because I returned the first one. I did not get the cartridge ordered in error wet so that was not a problem. They appear to be less expensive than other online pool sites. I recommend this company."
"Ordered stuff from these guys the past couple years with no problems. Great turn around times and delivery faster than expected. This last time however they tried to pass off an inferior quality filter for the same price as the premium one. Sent a note to customer service and no response. Unacceptable that they would try to pass off the lesser product without notifying me. All it would have taken was a note saying hey this is out of stock, how about this one? Maybe I’ll get a response and can update my review…but for now I’d say take your business elsewhere. I know I will."
"On the Spa-Daddy website, I did a search for a specific part number (Waterway 817-0131). The search provided two results- one regular and one microbrial and it was slightly cheaper than other websites. I placed my order which was promptly delivered. Unfortunately, the filters I received were short, for a different pool filter. They were NOT equivalent to the specified Waterway part number in the search. The very confusing thing is that a search for a specific part number provides a part which does not fit and is smaller than OEM. What I didn't notice at the time of order was that the correct equivalent was also listed, but I had to scroll way down to see it. Their return policy is fairly typical but I didn't want to deal with it. One needs to be very careful with this website and know exactly what is needed. Don't rely on their search providing the most relevant part. Spa-Daddy blames the manufacturer "a lot of the manufacturers do this multiple listing for their part numbers (Hayward and Pentair do 4 or more, all with different lengths), we list all the specs in our cart." If you shop here, don't rely on a specific part number like you can on reputable websites. By the way, do NOT believe the coupon websites which suggest coupon codes for Spa-Daddy. After purchase, I received an email saying they do not honor any discounts/coupons/promo codes, claiming those are all fake - first time that has happened to me. Feels like a third party bait to direct internet traffi to them."
"At age 56 I can still count the number of company negative reviews I have provided on the internet on one hand. I do not want or seek out the hassle to do so. I have certainly dealt with companies that send the wrong items, but thankfully almost all of the businesses I encounter are honorable and work with customers. At the very least, most companies do not punish customers that attempt in good faith to order products. Sadly, Spa Daddy demands that I pay a 20% restocking fee because I was sent the wrong replacement filters even though I used their search function to find compatible filters. I used my established filter numbers in the search feature provided by Spa Daddy. The search function for Spa Daddy generated info for supposedly compatible filters. Sadly, the recommended filters were incorrect. While I feel that I can do my share in this transaction by covering the return shipping, a 20% restocking fee (whatever that really covers) is unfair punishment for an unintended misadventure shared with Spa Daddy. I asked for the fee to be waived, but was basically told “tough luck.” I would avoid this company completely and give your business to a spa service company with integrity."
"I was sent the wrong filters. I paid for them to be shipped back because they refused to pay return shipping. They want to charge a restock fee. The refund is still ongoing for several months. I would never do business with them again. I wouldn’t if I were you either. They treated me poorly to say the least. Give me a thumbs up if you were going to buy from them and this changed your mind. I want to show this company they can’t treat people like they did me and get away with it."
